The weather for the Glastonbury festival had it’s ups and downs but when it came to style, fashion and fun there were only good things to say about it all. It was one of the best line-ups ever – from Dolly Parton to Metallica and Rita Ora to Kasabian – with music to cater for all tastes.
That was also true for the fashion, as the festival was full of people dressing for comfort. Jumpsuits, jeans, denim shorts, dresses and leather – the celebs embraced their usual style and added some extra colour. There was no strict dress code for the Glastonbury festival this year, with the thought being that the main concern is will you be able to party in it from dawn to dusk?
Rita Ora (above left) and Jaime Winstone (above right) opted for an almost identical look, which prompted Rita to change shortly afterwards. But the combination of a jumpsuit, boots and a leather jacket does work for them to wander round in.
If you’re more of a dress person, check out Lana Del Ray’s multi-colour skater dress. It’s loose and floaty so it will keep her cool and it will also mean her friends won’t lose her in the festival field!
Denim shorts have always been popular at festivals and now they’re being worn by Cressida Bonas, the on-off girlfriend of Prince Harry, it shows they’re as hot as ever. I think denim shorts are great for rainy weather as you can dance all day in the rain and just towel down and pull on some warm trousers when it’s time to bed down for the night. Sometimes wearing trousers in the rain makes your legs sticky and damp.
A little leather biker jacket, maybe with some studs, adds a little rock chick edge like Caroline Flack below. As long as it’s not pouring with rain, it will keep you dry while showing off the rest of your outfit underneath.
Basically this year’s Glastonbury fashion was to choose what you like and wear it with attitude. Who do you think looked the best?
