Things To Do In 90 Minutes: Watch a Great Film

If you’re not going to be watching the footie this summer, what can you do with your time? You have at least 90 minutes… but potentially over 200 minutes with half time, extra time, penalties and punditry!

He’s going to be running the gamut of emotions every match and a really good film can have you doing that too. Experience the joy of a classic romance, get sheer terror with a gripping horror, or perhaps just befuddlement with a complex sci-fi. I’m not going to recommend specific films because it’s all a matter of taste and let’s face it, you know what you like! But as a complete film nerd, I am going to give you my top tips for a great film night.

Get the girls round: This is optional, of course, but a film with your besties can’t be beat.

Snacks: Popcorn, crisps and dip, or a bar of choc – whatever you love, make sure you have lots of it!

Bean Slab

Shop the Striped Bean Slab

A comfy seat: Whether you’re sprawled on the sofa, curled up in a chair or lounging on a beanbag, you need to be comfy. After all, you probably won’t be jumping up and down as much as he is!

Emotional aids: If you’re going for a weepy, you need tissues to hand. If it’s a scary movie then a cushion to hide behind is a must. And if it’s a cool indie, you’ll almost certainly need your phone so you can look up where you’ve seen the actors before (or is that just me?!).

PJs

Shop the Sorbet ‘All Yours At Half Time’ PJs

Your PJs:  The World Cup matches are all on pretty late so if you’re going to be watching a film, you might as well be comfy – make sure you have a nice pair of pyjamas!

So now you know what I’ll be up to when the footie kicks off… Enjoy the show!
