Introducing Very’s Winter Trend: All That Glitters

If your home style is all about opulent living and dining, you’re almost certainly going to love Very’s All That Glitters winter home trend as much as I do. With its classic, elegant lines and luxurious cream and gold colour palette, it’s stylish, sumptuous, and more than a little bit glamorous. It’s also perfect for taking your living and dining rooms through winter and into Christmas!

The base for this look is fantastic as it’s neutral and so can be revamped for other looks later. Think cream with our retro-styled Charlie sofa range and our Regency furniture collection to provide a luxurious backdrop for all that texture and sparkle.

All That Glitters 1Now for the fun part! Add in some serious glitz and texture with cushions piled as high as you like. My personal fave is the super luxe Snow Leopard faux fur cushion, which gives you opulent fabrics combined with sublime comfort. Plus it looks amazing teamed with sequin and textured silk cushions, which offer contrast. Just remember to set off all those fabulous fabrics with some really glam lighting, making use of metallics and mercury glass, and accessorise with some gorgeous hammered effect photo frames (these make a great Christmas pressie too!).

All That Glitters 2All That Glitters is all about entertaining so the Regency dining table and chairs is an absolute must (it matches the living room furniture too so it’s great if your home’s open plan!). Go for timeless elegance when it comes to setting it, opting for Royal Doulton Paramount Platinum tableware as well as elegant champagne flutes. Just make sure you remember the bubbly!

All That Glitters is so easy to recreate, just remember to go gold, with a spectrum running from cream to burnished. Layer in plenty of luxe textures, but stay on the tasteful side of bling and you’re there. We’ve even got a helpful hub where you can read more about the trend and shop it, so you can’t go wrong!
