London Fashion Week – Key Trends

Backpack

Obviously Chanel or Mulberry are preferred but for those of us in the real world just grab the nearest two strap piece and add off-duty cool and instant street smarts to your day-to-day looks.

Statement trousers

Leather and denim take centre stage this season so splurge on leather pants and go to town with a pair of scissors on your favourite blue jeans – you wont regret the instant rock’n’roll they give your style.

Printed Piece

London’s wunderkind Mary Katranzou has enhancted the whole city with her incredible prints – catch the trend in wild, bold and complicated prints (the more the better!). Florals have had their hay day so look to other elements of nature and retro classics for your inspiration.

Trainers

London is big, busy and boisterous and trainers are the footwear of choice for those in the know. Choose Stan Smiths or your favourite Nike style for the ultimate in trainer gear and do away with all other sports references – there’s no need to dress trainers with your gym kit.

Court shoes

When the after party calls the only heel to be seen in is a pointed court. Classic, cool and cutting edge – their old school style and glass ceiling-shattering powers mean they add instant guts and gumption to any look.

Now you’ve perfected your London Fashion Week wardrobe it’s time to pack your backpack with fashion show essentials aka: mirror, iPhone, Mac lipstick and Percy Pigs before choosing a Shoreditch haunt as your place to go in between shows. It’s impossible to make it to all the shows and thankfully nearly all of them are streamed live, but below are three that you should book an Uber for.
