Forever in glossy magazines under the best dressed list, it’s no wonder Lipsy chose Michelle Keegan as their new face. We love the cheeky northern lass’ style, personality and are not at all jealous about her impending nuptials with Mark Wright (fingers crossed behind our backs)!
OK so first up from their latest collection is Outerwear – one of my favourite categories when it comes to AW – even before the temperature starts to dip actually.
To the left is one of the latest pieces from the Lipsy Love Michelle collection, the sugar fur jacket, named after it’s sugary sweet hue and super soft faux fur. I love the way this cute cover up has been thrown over a glam evening dress with heels to make a chic yet minimal statement when it comes to your party wardrobe.
Next up is the belted double zip jacket, which Michelle herself is modelling in the main image above. Padded to give a great shape, not to mention keep you snug during winter, this coat features the must have trim of the season…faux fur to the hood for a real wrapped up wonder.
To the right is another new piece to the collection, the faux shearling jacket, which is the perfect cover up in my opinion for the season. Showing off how versatile it is it can dress up your denims collection as well as add luxe attitude to your evening ensembles. Oh and the faux shearling is super soft to-the-touch, you won’t be able to help falling in love with it!
Ready for the run up to Christmas, Michelle’s collection of dresses has something for everyone. The flocked lace cami dress to the right is perfect for girls who love to show off their super svelte figures, offering just a little vintage boudoir appeal with delicate lace detail. Styled with a pair of barely there sandals and the cute sugar fur jacket and this frock will become your go-to party pick.
You can’t go wrong with a jumpsuit, whatever the season, and this lace panelled beauty is a chic lesson is how to wear the LBD alternative for the season. Get Michelle’s look by wearing it with a pair of metallic gold point courts and minimal, but sparkly accessories. Add a cute gold clutch to complete your party look.
If a jumpsuit isn’t your thing, then the Cornelli bandeau dress is the perfect pick for special occasions when making an entrance in a must. Cornelli lace detail to the sides is decorated with sequins for a delicate style touch that sparkles as you make your way across the dance floor, while the bandeau style screams glamour and chic.
Not one to be confused with partywear, eveningwear can be worn for everything from dinner dates and girly get togethers to parties or just dressing up a pair of skinny denims.
The cut-out swing top to the left is a lesson in dark, decadent styling with its rich navy hue and PU laser cut-out detail. Compliment it with a cut-out cuff like Michelle wears and a pair of leather look skinny trousers. Lift your look in skyscraper heels for a look worthy of a girly night.
To the centre is one of my favourite pieces from Michelle’s collection with Lipsy. Mainly for it’s rich colour and beautiful strappy back detail, this peplum top is wear-with-anything staple of your eveningwear wardrobe. Wear it with leather look trousers for a touch of attitude or skinny high waist jeans. I’d even try it with a leather pencil skirt for dinner dates either with your Mr Wright or best friend!
Finally, to the right, the Cornelli peplum top features a PU lace front and plunging back as well as a must-have peplum detail for a gorgeous fit that flatters. I love the contrast that black has against white and personally will never tire of the impact the monochrome trend makes on my wardrobe. Make like Michelle and go for attitude and vamp appeal rather than classic and elegant in a pair of skinny PU trousers and platform heels.
My must-have pieces are the red peplum top (you’ve seriously gotta check out the back detail), the flocked lace cami as I can see myself wearing it to any and every occasion that requires a gorgeous frock and the faux shearling jacket for its cut, shape and style.
