2015 kicks off with a worldwide curve celebration, as fuller bust lingerie brand Curvy Kate search the globe for their latest Star in a Bra queen. Sharing their message of diversity, fun and a feel-good figure, whilst looking for a confident girl with killer curves, the brand are putting the vote in the hands of their fans, who will decide who they think should be the face and body of the brand. The lucky winner will join the brand’s curvy line up at their summer shoot and enjoy an all-expense paid trip to the Mediterranean for two, with £1000 spending money.
With the public outcry for the use of more realistic images in the media, the Star in a Bra competition champions the use of customer role models and promotes a positive approach to body image, which all women can relate to. Known for their use of non-professional models, the brand show their fans exactly how their lingerie will look and fit on a variety of body shapes, cementing the message there isn’t one type of ‘perfect body’. All sizes, ages, frames and heights are encouraged to enter as the brand continues to celebrate the beauty of all women.
Star in a Bra title holder, Lotte Williams states, “Winning the competition meant so much to me, I love the idea of being able to stand up and represent all women by being the face and body of such an amazing brand. The entry stage launches January 5th on Starinabra.com, where girls interested can find further details, interviews with past winners and engage with other curvy women. The Curvy Kate team will also be joined by Cosmopolitan ‘Catwalk to Curvy’ columnist Laura Puddy and the body-loving Self Esteem Team, who will help choose a top 25 before the competition is decided by a public vote.
