Grammy Awards 2015: What To Watch Out For

The Grammy Awards are the first biggest music event of the year and they will take place in LA on 8 February.  Now in their 57th year, The Grammys is established as a place to see and be seen. Even if the artists don’t win, it’s vital that they dress up.

The nominations are now out on the Grammys Website and it’s a long list! While this makes me excited about the people (and outfits) we’ll see on the red carpet it’s difficult to take it in so this is who I am most excited about seeing:

Beyonce

beyonceBeyonce is nominated for album of the year for her album Beyonce and judging from the white dress she wore last year, above, we’re in for a treat. However, how is she going to beat this gorgeous lace outfit?

Iggy Azalea

Iggy, also in a white maxi dress last year, is up for Best Song for Fancy. I have a feeling she’ll wear red this year as she’s had a difficult 12 months in which she’s argued with a lot of people and red means feisty!

Katy Perry

Katy’s up fot Best Pop / Vocal album for Prism and I know we’ll see her wear an interesting evening dress. Her white dress last year had a full musical score on the skirt. She’s the Queen of Quirkiness.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift may have worn a gold dress last year but this time she should win a lot of gold statues. Her album 1989 continues to break records.

Alicia Keys

Admittedly, Alicia Keys isn’t nominated for anything this year but I do hope she shows up to show her support for her colleagues, mainly because I loved last year’s blue evening dress.

Giuliana Rancic

E! TV presenter Giuliana Rancic will be presenting the red carpet coverage for TV but it’s always inspirational to look at what she’s wearing as she upstages most celebrities. The orange dress she wore last year was particularly gorgeous. The colour really complimented her light olive skin.

What are you excited about? How many awards will be won by British acts? With Sam Smith, Jessie J, Ed Sheeran and Clean Bandit also up for awards, it’s great to see the UK showing how influential it is to the worldwide music industry.
