Stars Wear Smart Monochrome At Prince’s Trust Awards

The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success awards in London’s Leicester Square is an awards do to honour successful business people that have been helped out by the charity. The charity, set up by Prince Charles, gives grants to young entrepreneurs aged between 18-30.

The winners are presented with awards by successful and smart celebrities, who’ve all achieved equally impressive results in real-life. And in a bid to be taken seriously, the unofficial dress code was ‘power dressing’. All the stars looked like they meant business with a high proportion of white and black detail. Sometimes, keeping it simple is way more striking.

For example, Very designer Fearne Cotton made an entrance in a black maxi skirt and a white top.

Samantha Faiers, another Very designer, was also at the event and she took power dressing to another level with a suit worn with a white crop top. As you can see from the tan, she’s just got back from Dubai.

Brit award nominee Ella Henderson glammed up a black jumpsuit with a chunky jewellery and yellow stilletoes. So glam! And so similar to the South kimono wrap jumpsuit!

Simon Cowell wore a suit with a white shirt because when does he not wear white or grey? So this made his girlfriend and mother of his child complement his professionalism in a smart blue dress

However, actress and TV presenter Brooke Kinsella brought some colour to the red carpet in a red lace dress.

It’s a refreshing change to be able to look at celebs for inspiration on formal wear! Also, it’s giving me ideas for how to look smarter in Spring without sweating in a suit. Who do you think pulled it off the best?
