#VerySpringEdit – Hot Prints

Ready to whisk us straight out of our darker shades, heavier knits and covered up cosies, the Hot Prints trend of March prepares us spectacularly for spring.

Not just about the usual floral patterns and bold, vibrant colour palettes, this trend is about all prints, no matter the colour palette or shape. It’s basically the SS15 pre-season answer to prints!

Hot-prints-1

So first up, this beautiful floral print dress completely throws my intro out with it’s colour bursts of pinks, greens and blues, while the lightweight fabric and frilled sleeves help keep you cool for summertime soirees as well as adding a little shape and flirty appeal to your wardrobe.

However, it’s a gorgeous example of how to work the Hot Prints trend into your closet this season and, what’s more, it’ll last right through summer and well into Autumn too. Hurrah!

Hot-Prints-2

Delving into a more tropical, leafy print is this stunning cut-out wrap front dress by Definitions. Moving away from the more traditional florals, this dress is the true definition of tropical, covering you shoulder to hem in large palm leaf prints and exotic yellow flowers that are Hawaiian-inspired and immediately have me dreaming of white sandy beaches, azure seas and a cheeky cocktail in a coconut, with a little umbrella in it of course!

I absolutely love this dress. It’s one of my key pieces from this collection. I can imagine a pair of beautifully embellished wedge sandals, painted nails and a yellow flower in my hair come my summer hols.

Hot-Prints-3

In complete contrast to hot house blooms, this black and white printed dress takes the trend in a new direction altogether, showing us that spring prints don’t have to be colourful.

Using the classic monochrome colour palette of last season, this season’s prints break up the colours further, steering clear of block panels and instead opting for more delicate lines with blurred edges for a geo-meets graffiti inspired look with a chic twist.

Hot-Prints-4

Sticking with the chalkboard palette, this monochrome striped T-shirt is the perfect update on a basic, allowing you to dress it up in culottes or a high waisted midi skirt.

So the Hot Prints trend gets a huge thumbs up from me. I love the variety, the edginess of being able to wear blurred black and white prints or large, leafy ones that stick to greens and spots of yellows in March! I can’t wait to kit my wardrobe out with some of these lovelies – ready for a friend’s hen party at Chester races, date night with my Mister and a cheeky night out with my fave girls!
