T in the park is Scotland’s biggest music festival and this year’s line-up has to be one of the best ever. I was pleased to see there was a high proportion of girl power on the bill with Jessie J, Charli XCX, Paloma Faith, Cara Delevingne’s girlfriend St Vincent and Rudimental among some of the acts that went down best with the crowds.
All of the ladies had one thing in common – they made an effort to look as fierce as they sounded. They’d all clearly planned their outfits to create an impression and they did that with statement jumpsuits, crop tops and leather. Here’s my top 5 T in the Park outfits:
Her t-shirt says T in the Park, and I do like a clever slogan tee, but most of all I am in lust with Jessie’s leather jacket. If you arrive anywhere in that jacket, people have to take you seriously.
Has dating Cara rubbed off on St Vincent? She’s looked very chic recently and this totally includes the jumpsuit she wore at T in the Park. Cara’s so keen on this singer she’s reportedly considering moving to New York to be near her. And Cara’s not her only fan as the crowds went crazy for her edgy set.
Paloma’s always had some unique outfits and they haven’t always been something the rest of us could copy but I think this one is. The ankle boots are gorgeous but why not wear a statement jumpsuit from time to time? You can always play down the look with a black jacket on top.
Rudimental really went for it in the heat so Anne-Marie was appropriately dressed. But even if it wasn’t a question of weather, there’s something about wearing a crop top with plain trousers that gives off a cool, confident vibe. I liked her round sunglasses too.
Just like Anne-Marie, Charli XCX is dressing for the heat. I don’t blame her as she had a crazily upbeat, energetic set. The print on her multi-coloured co-ordinates reflects the energy of her set. I just wish I had her energy.
