The Best Of Lovebox and Latitude

Some festivals are for seeing all the bands you know and love and some festivals are all about finding new favourites. The Latitude and The Lovebox festivals both specialise in putting on acts you may not have heard before. Latitude has a BBC 6Music stage – the radio station that specialises in showcasing new artists – whereas Lovebox has a dance music spin, so you may find an obscure dance act that makes you want to groove. I did!

When you haven’t hit the big time yet (or when you’re Beyonce in training rather than the real thing) you can be more experimental with your fashion so I was blown away by the colours I saw at Lovebox. These outfits would be spectacular at a summer party or for the remaining festivals of the summer – V and Bestival. My new favourites are:

Lion Babe

Lion Babe definitely has the Beyonce, or maybe Solange, look with her big hair but her outfit has it’s own individual edge. Fringe edges are really on trend right now and this fringe dress has a touch of the Samantha Faiers suede fringe dress about it.

Ella Eyre

Ella Eyre loves a jumpsuit and a statement jacket – this Lovebox outfit is similar to what she wore to Glastonbury. I think I’ve seen Ella at about every festival I’ve been to this year so she’s a bit of an expert – we can take note from her. A jumpsuit is both comfortable and looks good, and a multi-coloured one like hers grabs attention.

Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice was one of the most popular acts on the 6Music stage at Latitude. I adore her folk, boho vibe – perfect for a lazy weekend BBQ. The top reminds me of the Lipsy Michelle Keegan scallop lace bardot top.

Karen Harding

Former X Factor contestant Karen had one of the hits of the summer with Say Something and showed at Lovebox that she’s on trend with her fashion as well as her music. Cute summery co-ordinates look flattering and you never have to worry about what to match them with.

Santigold causes gasps of shock before she’d opened her mouth with an outfit that is almost Lady Gaga like in it’s craziness. I’m not sure many of us would copy the hairstyle or have such an image on the top, but a pair of co-ordinates is a great way to show off some personality. If the top matches the bottom you can get away with a crazier than usual print. At Very, I like the South tile print shorts that come with a matching kimono.

Which of the looks did you prefer? Are you a bardot top boho babe or do you prefer to make an impact with co-ordinates?
