Officially, we have to wait to September until The X Factor starts again but the insights into the new series are beginning now at the audition stages. This is because every time the judges travel to a new city to audition talent, the arrival of the judges and of the show’s new co-host Caroline Flack causes chaos. So many people want autographs and selfies and the stars seem happy to indulge, meaning that we can see how their styles are evolving.
This year, Rita has gone for a vampy, rock princess look while Cheryl seems to have a more vintage look, choosing outfits particularly influenced by the 60s. And n0w Dermot O’Leary has left to be replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack, we have Caroline’s cute tom boy style to check out too. So far, the auditions have taken place in Manchester and London and we can all take some inspiration from the stars’ different looks.
Caroline Flack’s tomboy style
There are elements of each of the three looks above that I like. From left to right, Caroline looks sensational in a leather mini skirt like the River Island black pu mini skirt. From the middle picture, I’m loving the footwear – they’re just like the Dune Fraggel leather sandals. If you’re looking for a stripey top, try one that shows off your shoulders like the Lipsy off the shoulder bardot stripe top
Rita Ora’s femme fatale look
A cut out suit is pretty extreme, but white stilletos look great in summer. I like the River Island Wenda strappy toe court shoes. For wide jeans like Rita’s, try the South Perrie wide leg jeans and a little back dress, LBD, never goes out of fashion. Rita has some detail on the top of hers and it’s for this reason I like the Definitions fringe dress, which has unique tassle detail.
Cheryl Fernandez Versini’s vintage style
Cheryl has been on the X Factor the longest so she knows how to dress for the cameras. I really like the shoes she wore in the pic on the left – they’re like the Carvela Karli court shoes. Wearing a jacket as a dress looks great on her – we could all do this with the Definitions kimono jacket. And for a cute dress that has pleats on the skirt and a fantastic print, check out the Definitions bardot jacquard prom dress. Cheryl looks really feminine this year – being Mrs Fernandez Versini suits her.
Which of the presenters’ style do you like best? I’m loving seeing a bit of variety on screen – these ladies all have individual styles and none of them are shy!
