I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since Cosmpolitan magazine’s first ever FashFest. London Fashion Week’s back again and FashFest welcomed it with a celebration of non-stop gorgeous catwalk looks.
What I like about FashFest is all the amazing fashion showcased on the catwalk. Designer looks at highstreet prices, getting all us girls excited for the season ahead.
She kept the audience entertained from start to finish, with a mixuture of fashion fans, Comsopolitan readers and celebrities all attending this year’s event. I took the opportunity to see what the celebs were wearing as inspiration for what to wear to the SS16 shows and the parties coming up in the next few weeks.
Millie Mackintosh, Jameela Jamil and Dionne Bromfeld – black mini dresses and mini skirts
Note that all these ladies follow the golden rule – show off legs or cleavage but not both. Millie’s black mini dress looks almost 60s style, whereas Jameela has gone for more of a skater dress 50s style. Dionne has added some edge with a black PU mini skirt and black boots and I think a mini skirt and boots combo is also quite vintage. Classic.
Michelle Wright – black midi dress
Newly married Michelle Wright never gets it wrong does she? I love the fitted style of this black midi dress – it’d be flattering on all of us.
Made In Chelsea’s Lucy Watson and Binky Feslstead – Green Prints
When you don’t want to follow the trends, there’s nothing like a print to help you make a statement and Binky and Lucy both went for green evening dresses. Binky’s not really a dress girl, so hers is a shirt dress. I’m loving the over the knee boots.
Abbey looked super sophisticated in her black jumpsuit – the wide leg trousers caught everyone’s eye.
Black was the colour of the night, with a sprinkle of brights from the Made in Chelsea ladies. The question is, would you rather go for black and fit in or wear something bright and stand out?
