Fierce Female Fashion At Suffragette Film Premiere

The London Film Festival has now started and it all kicked off with a female focused film – Suffragette. Girl power!

Carey Mulligan stars in the film focusing on the movement that won women the right to vote and she’s been working hard to promote it with several red carpet appearances a day. She loves floaty dresses and outfits that enhance her femininity showing you can be strong and still be womanly.

Here are some of the best looks from the opening day of Suffragette:

Carey Mulligan at the BFI film screening

I think Carey could have got away with this outfit to both events – it’s the ultimate day to night outfit. Co-ordinates are great for party season and so are metallics and Carey cleverly combines both with long sleeves for extra Winter warmth!

Again Carey got it spot on as lace dresses are so on trend! I think she wears it well with confidence, even though it’s a matter of weeks since she gave birth to her first baby. Now that’s the definition of a strong, determined lady!

Helena Bonham Carter at the Leicester Square screening

Helena looks lovely in her black midi dress, which reminded me of the midi dresses all the stars wore to The WellChild Awards. Her black heels are super high and fierce too, very similar to the Shoe Box Miami point black shoes at Very.

Anne Marie Duff with husband James McAvoy at the Leicester square screening

A black maxi dress is always classic  but Anne Marie gives it an extra edge with a strapless maxi dress to show off her shoulders and arms. With her hair swept back, she’s flashing some flesh but in a classy way and she’s staying warm. Her husband looks so proud – bless!

Meryl Streep at the Leicester Square screening

Meryl’s had  lot of experience dressing for the red carpet and it shows with her spectacular choice of silky maxi dress. It’s a green version of the Rochelle Humes embellished maxi dress from Very – 100% pure class.

Which outfit did you like the most? Make sure you see the film as it’s so empowering! It’s in cinemas on 30 October.
