With performances from Rihanna and Justin Bieber, this year’s BRITs was guaranteed to be a spectacular show. It’s the biggest party in the British music calendar and there were tons of gorgeous party dresses on the red carpet outside London’s O2 Arena.
The celebs really made an effort to stand out and I’d go so far as to say the Brits did it better than the Americans at The Grammys. When you watch it on TV it’s hard to notice the outfits because everything moves so quickly. I was in the press room on the night so I saw how everyone looked in person and I’ve picked the top 10 best.
If you have any parties this Spring, check out these fashionable Brit attendees for inspiration:
Rihanna gave a risque performance with Drake, getting up close and personal during their dance act. However, she looked sweet and innocent in her pretty pastel coloured maxi dress when she arrived. I like the contrast of a bad girl wearing a pretty dress.
Alexa showed how to style out a little black dress and looked smart and sophisticated with her chic bob and the sleek cut of her black midi dress. If you have a smart black dress, it looks great if you style your hair in a blunt or fierce way.
For once, Adele has worn something that’s not black! I love her red dress because it’s so different from her usual style while the maxi dress shape really flatters her figure. The dress brought her luck as she scooped four Brit awards!
Cheryl Fernandez Versini
Cheryl bravely opted for a yellow dress. Now Spring is on it’s way, yellow is a cool colour to wear.
The former Spice Girl rocked a gorgeous cape dress. Her ex bandmate Victoria Beckham may be known for her fashion credentials but Emma’s coming a close second.
There are two reasons why Kylie is looking radiant. First is because she’s engaged to be married. And second, because she hasn’t aged a day since starting out 25 years ago and knew she looked hot in her black prom dress. What do you think?
Alesha has gorgeous legs and she dressed to show them off in a daring black mini dress. You know what your best feature is and so why not dress to show them off? If you’ve got it, flaunt it!
I do like a gold dress and Florence Welch looked like a character out of a fairytale in hers. A metallic dress is a great way to make an entrance…and exit.
Caroline’s not one for skirts but she doesn’t need to be as she does a jumpsuit so well. A black jumpsuit is ideal for a party as it looks smart but you’ll stay comfortable all night long.
Jess Glynne’s outfit may not suit many people, but I like the fact she’s not afraid to make a statement. If you like something and wear it with attitude, you come across as really cool because you don’t care what people think. Some may criticise, but everyone will notice you so if you want to stand out, go bold!
