Name: Natalie Wong
Children: Gabriella, four, and Lucia, 23 months
What do your two girls love to wear?
I always get them involved when shopping, so we don’t have unworn or hated outfits. Gabriella likes dresses and skirts as much as leggings, chunky knits and t-shirts. Lucia is another story. She’s at that age where she doesn’t like wearing any clothes!
Which kids’ pieces are a must for Spring?
A raincoat, a nice shirtdress, a gilet and wellies. I blame Peppa Pig for the number of shoes and boots ruined by jumping in muddy puddles!
You’re so glamorous. Does that side trickle down to your girls?
Am I? Thank you. I don’t feel quite so glamorous these days. I try, though! I think it has an effect. I’m sure most little girls look at their mummy and like to mimic their style.
Are they into fashion?
Gabriella is. She likes to look nice and has an eye for clothes.
River Island Girls Denim playsuit, 7437H, £18, Hunter Original Junior Wellingtons, 2CEEX, from £32, Name It Long Sleeve Stripe Dress, 6T7EX, £30, French Connection Marble Structured Dress, 6NYPY, from £48
What else do they like?
Both girls are so into arts and crafts. They enjoy drawing and painting. Gabriella’s quite a tomboy. She’s a fan of Paw Patrol. Lucia is obsessed with Peppa Pig. She’s more girlie.
Where do you look for fashion inspiration?
I’m a traditionalist and love a magazine that I can flick through. I like to peoplewatch too. I’m completely inspired by my fellow ‘Notting Hillers’. Anything goes here!
What can’t you live without as a mum?
A bag that’s big enough for snacks, toys, paper, pens, my iPhone and a camera. I love to capture simple moments.
What about your style?
I like a neutral palette: black, grey, nude, blush and white. If I’ve had a sleepless night, it’s not too difficult to decide what to put on!
Has your look changed since becoming a mum?
I dress for comfort now. I run around with my girls in the park, so the active-wear trend is great. I like getting dressed up from time to time, though.
How do you spend your time as a family?
Hyde Park is like our second home. My daughters love afternoon tea. I think it’s the pretty cakes and sandwiches that keep them entertained.
