It’s just been announced that Daisy Lowe will salsa her way into the next series of Strictly Come Dancing. This means the model will have access to a fabulous wardrobe of bold colours and sequins when the series starts next month. Sometimes the costumes are better than the actual dances, aren’t they?
Daisy has an advantage in the fashion stakes before the series has even started as she has a unique, comfortable but flawless style going on. This could be because she’s been exposed to fashion from a young age through her mother Pearl Lowe, who was one of Kate Moss’s best friends. This means that she seems super confident with what she wears. Whether it’s a little black dress on a night out or some super cool dungarees for a day of shopping, Daisy walks with attitude and that will stand her in good stead to bring that little bit extra on the dancefloor. Just look at how she pouts and holds her hand on her hip on a night out.
Wearing a well-fitted LBD can help give you Daisy’s confidence. The River Island black slinky cami dress (above right) is very similar if you want a dress to help make you feel amazing when you walk into a room.
When you have a black dress, you do need some accessories to complete the look. Daisy has a red handbag like the Ted Baker geometric bow clutch bag and then some classic black heels like the Shoe Box Palma point court microsuede shoes.
So that’s the night sorted but what can you wear to make you feel fabulous in the day? Try something a bit different to jeans by wearing denim overalls and you’ll stand out from the crowd. Daisy’s fabulous dungarees are like the Levi’s heritage overalls in gold rush blue, which go perfectly with a white t-shirt like the New Balance accelerate short sleeve t-shirt.
Again, this is a simple outfit so you need to think about your accessories. Daisy has some catseye sunglasses, which look like Michael Kors cats eye sunglasses (below left). She finishes the look in a rock chick way with some Converse Chuck Taylor hi-tops (below right).
What do you think of Daisy’s fashion sense? Do you think she’ll do well in Strictly?
