Inside Soap Awards 2016: Best Dressed

The Inside Soap Awards are always a glamorous affair as the stars gather together to find out who the magazine’s readers have voted Best Soap, Best Storyline and Best Actor and Actress. This year did not disappoint as the actors and actresses put on some stunning outfits to attend the awards and pose for photographers on the red carpet.

One thing that was interesting was that there were almost as many stars wearing jumpsuits as there were wearing dresses. For parties this Christmas party season, you can look equally sensational in a jumpsuit as you can in a dress. Also, you don’t have to go for a bold colour to make an impact as there are some lovely new styles of black dresses which are guaranteed to make people look twice at the shape.

Here are some ways to feel fabulous in party wear, inspired by the soap actresses who looked gorgeous at the Inside Soap Awards:

Faye Brooks

The new Coronation Street actress turned heads at her first ever Inside Soap Awards in a vibrant red midi dress. The plunging v-neck detail and side split added extra drama and shows you’re in the mood to party. Wear with high sandals to lengthen the legs and help you walk taller and with more attitude. The V By Very cut out midi pencil dress is a great match!

Kym Marsh

Kym is a perfect example of how wearing a black jumpsuit can make you look cool, calm and in control. A v-neck shows just the right amount of skin to give off a playful edge but you won’t feel worried about any wardrobe malfunctions. The v-neck detail of Kym’s jumpsuit reminds me of the Vera Moda soft tailor jumpsuit.

Jacqueline Jossa

If you feel comfortable in black because black fits in anywhere, then you should look for something that has an interesting fit. A prom dress is ideal because it’s really flattering thanks to the full skirt, which will make your waist look slimmer. It’s also great for twirling around the dancefloor. You can get the same effect in the Ted Baker fit and flare prom dress.

Amanda Clapham

The Hollyoaks actress showed that jumpsuits come in colours other than black. Indeed, there are some lovely cream jumpsuits at Very. They stand out when everyone else is wearing dark colours and they look beautiful with gold sandals. If you want to shine, experiment with jumpsuits!

Who do you think looked the best? It just goes to show there are many ways to make an impact at a party and you don’t have to wear a dress to look fabulous.
