Harper’s Bazaar hosted it’s annual Women of The Year awards at the five-star Claridge’s hotel in London so the expectations were super-high for a glamorous night. The celebrities all put on their best formal dresses to collect awards and present awards, dine on succulent food and then dance afterwards. Alright for some! But now that its Christmas party season, there are as many parties on weeknights as there are at weekends and we all need to look fabulous on multiple occasions for work parties, friend parties and family parties!
With several invites, it can be quite exhausting to know what to wear so it’s a good idea to look at what the celebs are wearing for some inspiration. They have such high quality outfits, you can wear clothes like these on different occasions throughout the party season and dazzle everywhere you go. Nobody will know as your work friends are likely to be different to your family friends. All everybody will be thinking is where did she get that dress.
The dresses that looked incredible at the Harper’s Bazaar Women Of The Year Awards were:
Green is such a gorgeous colour – it’s warm but also eye-catching. It looks lovely for all skin tones because if you’re pale then it will lift your skin rather than wash it out and if you’re dark it will give you a little glow. There are some beautiful green maxi dresses at Very right now from dark greens like Keira’s to a paler mint green.
Ok, so it’s not technically a party dress but this outfit is definitely one to party in! The sequin top gives off a power-dressing 80s vibe showing that you’re seriously in the mood for a good time with no messing. The black skinny trousers with high heels add to the powerful, confident woman look.
She’s come a long way since Harry Potter! The actress looked stunning in a black lace maxi dress. It looks so elegant with a chic up-do. Black suits multiple occasions and doesn’t date so you can definitely wear this to more than one party.
The Olympic cyclist who won three gold medals in Rio decided to wear a silver dress for a change. However, this is bright, this is bold and it would look fabulous on any dancefloor. If you want to get noticed when you arrive, when you leave and all the way through the night then go for silver rather than gold!
White is also an attention-grabbing colour and really suited former cyclist and ex Strictly Come Dancing contestant Victoria Pendleton. It makes your skin look more tanned and makes you appear more awake and alert even if you’re feeling tired after having already attended a lot of events. For a bit of winter cheer, wear white.
The British actress who currently stars opposite Tom Hanks in Inferno has an individual sense of style and embraces colour in a colour block maxi dress. The orange complements the red and gives her a vintage 1960s vibe. If you like vintage then embrace that. You shouldn’t compromise your style for anyone and you’ll look better if you stick to what suits you and what you love.
Who do you think looked the most spectacular?
