The Elephant Family Celebrity Ball

The Elephant Family is a popular charity among celebrities, royals and the finance world for two reasons. Firstly, everyone loves animals and this is a small charity that directs as much money as possible to the animals that need it rather than organisational costs. Secondly, there’s usually a theme at the ball, which makes it a lot of fun. As celebrities party a lot of the time, it’s much more exciting when there’s a theme to make life a little different.

This year there was a jungle theme, with actors dressed as animals, circus performers dressed as animals and the venue decorated with leaves and greenery like a jungle. The celebs all had head-dresses to really add the wow factor to their looks. As it was a ball, everyone went for maxi dresses in various bold colours and sumptuous textures. It’s fantastic inspiration at this time of year if you want to turn heads at a Christmas party and feel fabulous.

The most stunning outfits are those worn by:

Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was the belle of the ball in a gold dress. When you wear gold, you make a real statement that you want to have a special night. However, gold is also a flattering colour, helping you to appear bronzed, beautiful and super confident as a result.

Donna Air

Donna attended with her boyfriend James Middleton (sister of the Duchess of Cambridge) and turned heads in a gold maxi dress. When you wear gold, people turn and look to see who is shimmering their way through the party. When the light shines on a gold dress, you’re lit up and look stunning.

Anna Friel

Anna worked a vintage style in a white maxi dress with short sleeves that made her look like an old-fashioned Hollywood screen siren. It’s pretty, it’s elegant and it’s sophisticated, showing that you don’t need to show too much skin to get attention. White and sequins are a killer combination!

Elizabeth Hurley

The actress and Estee Lauder model looked divine in an electric blue dress. When in doubt, wear colour and you’ll always get noticed for the right reasons. Another benefit of colour is that you can keep the shape of the dress simple as the colour is what people are looking at. Also, you don’t need too many accessories as everyone is looking at the dress.

Princess Eugenie

The young royal attended with her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank, amid rumours they’re engaged and they do look happy together. She’s dressing her best in a black lace maxi dress and looking sophisticated but with a sensual edge with the lace detail. Lace is a great way to liven up a black dress.

Whose dress do you think wows the most?
