Celebrity Style Steal: Three Ways To Copy Emma Stone

Have you seen the film La La Land? Whether you’re a musicals fan or not, you’ll be blown away by Emma Stone’s acting performance and dancing ability. Her character makes us feel like it’s acceptable to chase our dreams and we instantly warm to her and wish she was our friend.

As Emma does interviews to promote the film and chats to journalists on the red carpets of film premieres, we see that she’s just as lovable as her character and dresses immaculately. She sets trends rather than follows them as she has a unique, individual sense of style and loves bright colours and prints that contrast nicely with her red hair. However, she can also pull of black, which she does by choosing a dress with a slightly different shape. She’s definitely not conventional!

We’ve picked some of her best outfits and found ways to copy, which is great if you want to shake up your wardrobe this year. If you’re stuck in a rut, you won’t be after following Emma.

The film dress

In La La Land, Emma’s character dances in the twilight in a bright yellow dress and starts to fall in love. A yellow dress really attracts the opposite sex as they can’t fail to notice you! A dress with a wider skirt is ideal to dance in like the V by Very short sleeve tunic dress. Then you need some dancing shoes with a chunky heel like the Office salute two part court shoes. Enjoy!

The premiere dress

When walking the red carpet to promote the film, Emma went all out to ensure that she’d be in the magazines and newspapers for the right reasons! She looked sensational in a strappy red dress that showed off a hint of cleavage. The dress is a bit different as it’s a deep claret red rather than a scarlet so it’s less brassy and more classy. It reminds me of the Superdry Alexandra Vee skater dress, which would look even better with pretty barely there sandals like the V by Very Buttercup mid heel ankle strap sandals.

The interviews dress

Sometimes, she has to be serious but she’s never dull. Her short sleeve black maxi dress has a lovely hemline and a cinched in waist, just like the V by Very structured shoulder maxi dress. She also livens it up with some gold shoes like the River Island Pia platform sandals. You’re ready for business in a dress like this but you’ll still feel like yourself.

Which look did you like the most? It’s time to have some fun with fashion!
