Blake Lively is currently in New York for the city’s Fashion Week and she’s making the streets of Manhattan her personal catwalk. On the Front Row at all the hottest shows, Blake’s been dressing so well she looks just as good as some of the models.
Unlike the fashion on the runway, Blake’s outfits are available to copy immediately. We can use her as inspiration for updating our smart work outfits as well as cool, causal day wear that will make all our friends wild with jealousy about how effortlessly fabulous we seem. Blake’s nailed the look so we don’t need to experiment and risk getting it wrong. What’s even better is that Blake’s a busy working actress as well as a mother and she wears outfits like this, which mean the clothes are wearable for busy lifestyles as well as being super stylish.
Let’s have a closer look at some of her best NYFW moments:
(1) The Smart Midi Dress
Blake sat next to legendary fashion editor Anna Wintour at the Michael Kors show so there was a lot of pressure on her to up her fashion game. When in doubt of what to wear it’s best to look smarter than usual as smart usually ensures you look more polished. Blake gets it just right in a red floral dress, which is similar to the V by Very crepe pleat detail floral dress. As the dress has so much detail, you don’t need any accessories except for some killer heels. The V by Very Tiger Lilly cut out court shoes are a gorgeous shade of red, just like Blake’s.
(2) The Cool Monochrome Layered Look
Black and white is always a striking look and Blake uses it to her advantage to layer up to create a warm but chic outfit to run around in. The way to start with this look is a black and white midi skirt like the V by Very mono print pleat skirt. Then add a simple black jumper like the V by Very seam tunic. Notice Blake’s monochrome outer layer has fur on the collar? It’s just like the V by Very faux fur collar boucle cape. Now all you need is some gorgeous court shoes like the V by Very Melanie pointed court shoes and some round sunglasses that the celebs love – try the River Island sunglasses.
