Unforgettable Film Premiere: Red Carpet Looks

The film’s called Unforgettable and the outfits the stars wore to the premiere definitely made an impact too. It’s been a while since we had a glamorous film premiere to look at as few films are released immediately after awards season, but this one was worth the wait!

Unforgettable is a female-centered film with a woman struggling to come to terms with the fact that her ex-husband has left her and moved onto someone else and it’s pretty emotional and intense at times. It’s a film that will leave you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end and although it’s sometimes uncomfortable to watch it will make you think. This could be why the stars completely let their hair down at the premiere as they wanted to shrug off a mentally-taxing film and have some fun. Everyone looked super glam in complete contrast to their alter egos in the film.

If you have a big night out coming up, you’ll be pleased to see there are lots of gorgeous new party dresses available right now and that the stars at the premiere looked stunning whether they were wearing black or colour. These five stars looked esepcially pretty in their dresses – they’ll give you something to think about if you’re outfit-planning:

Katherine Heigl

As one of the main stars of the film, Katherine left us in no doubt that she was the centre of attention. You couldn’t fail to spot her in her white maxi dress, which fitted her figure perfectly before flowing out into a fishtail shaped hem. As the dress is so simple and chic, her diamond ear-rings really shone. White and silver or sparkles is a classic combination so don’t forget to accessorise!

Rosario Dawson

Rosario is the other star of the film, playing the ‘other woman’ and she also shone in a gold dress and as the photographers’ flashbulbs went off, the dress sparkled in the light .Notice Rosario’s gold sandals too – sometimes you can never have too much gold in your life.

Joanna Krupa

The former model and star of Real Housewives of Miami showed how a black midi dress and a tan can look divine on a night out. The embellishment on the dress ensures she makes a bright entrance and it’s a real party dress. Again, these sequins will dazzle on the dancefloor and you’ll feel like a million dollars.

Tristin Mays

The Vampire Diaries star rocked a vampy black outfit of a long sleeve midi dress and over the knee boots. This is an outfit that would look great for different occasions – you could wear it for a lunch with the girls, a day in town or a night out. Every time you wear it, you’ll get a kick every time you see your reflection, especially when you look at your legs in those boots.

Ariana Madix

She’s a reality TV star in Vanderpump Rules but in this dress Ariana almost takes attention away from the film’s main stars. The extreme bardot neckline and bodycon shape of this white midi dress is beautiful and the colour gives her a golden glow. She shows off the neckline by pulling her hair back into a loose low bun and the overall look is classy but pretty.

Whose dress do you like the most? From black to white to gold, there are lots of ways to make an impact at a party this season!

Celeb Style Steal: How To Wear White Like Rita Ora

Now the sun’s making more of an appearance, we can start thinking about wearing more white. White flatters our complexions making us appear more tanned and healthy, it ensures we stand out when we walk down the street and the colour just makes us feel bright and summery.

However, it can be difficult to find the confidence to wear white at the start of the season as it’s such a change from the dark clothes that are usually worn during winter. The easiest way to find some style inspiration is to look at how celebrities are wearing white and we can’t help but notice Rita Ora’s been wearing the colour a lot recently. As Rita’s a trendsetter and not a follower and a former judge on America’s Got Talent, she carefuly considers her outfits and the fact she’s gone for white so often means that it’s a key colour this season.

Let’s have a closer look at a couple of ways she’s matched white items together:

(1) The Feminine White Summer Dress Look

For a casual walk around London, Rita opted for a lovely white day dress, which is similar to the Superdry boho beauty dress. It doesn’t matter that it’s not yet blazing sunshine weather as you can put a white cover up on over the top like the V by Very sequin & lurex cream wrap. Finish with some fierce black ankle boots to provide a contrast to the white outfit – the V by Very black lace up ankle boots are ideal – and then top off with the Jimmy Choo more rocktsud sunglasses.

(2) The Fierce White Trouser Suit Look

A white trouser suit is classically chic but Rita makes hers even more luxurious with a soft white jumper underneath and a longline blazer as opposed to one that finishes mid-thigh. The jumper is beautifully soft and a roll neck will protect your neck from spring breezes – try the Selected femme mali roll neck that looks lovely with the Lavish Alice waterfall jacket. White trousers look better looser rather than super fitted like the V by Very linen mix trousers. Notice that Rita finishes the look with some open toe sandals, which are a cuter and girlier than court shoes. Rita’s sandals are similar to the Miss Selfridge bow detail sandals.

Are you feeling more summery now? Rita’s two outfits show that you can be both smart and pretty in white so have some fun experimenting!

Coachella: See The Stars’ Festival Style

Coachella marks the start of festival season. As it’s in America’s Palm Springs, the weather is gorgeous and there are lots of pool parties (as opposed to wading through mud at UK festivals like Glastonbury). For this reason, not only is it the first festival of the year it’s probably also the most glam festival of the year.

As it’s so close to LA, it’s packed with celebs who have images to maintain and access to stylists. So if you want some inspiration about what to wear to a festival later this year, let’s look at the top 10 best dressed at Coachella:

(1) Lottie Moss

Kate’s younger sister follows in her sibling’s cool footsteps and has the boho look nailed. A hat is an essential festival item as you can hide unwashed hair under it and Lottie keeps the rest of the look simple with a bardot top and a maxi skirt. Sometimes less is more, especially if you want your accessories to stand out.

(2) Jourdan Dunn

She’s got impressive abs, so there’s no doubt Jourdan would want to show them off with a crop top. But she also wants to have some fun with fashion at the festival as it’s the ideal time to experiment – anything goes. Her lightweight silk suit is loose enough to keep her cool in the heat and the colour is bright and playful – she rocks it!

(3) Rita Ora

If you can’t do double suede with a pop-Cowgirl look at a festival, when can you? Rita’s outfit is pretty bold but cowboy boots and a suede jacket are a cute alternative to wellies and a parka if it’s dry. Can you tell she wants to get noticed?

(4) Alessandra Ambrosio

The Victoria’s Secret model wears another of a festival’s essential items – denim. Denim shorts are especially useful at a festival as they can be worn come rain or shine to help you get a tan or to ensure that your legs don’t get damp and sticky in trousers if it rains. A denim jacket is easy to wear and you can easily wear it tied around your waist when you get hot dancing.

(5) Nicole Richie

Nicole’s been busy being a mother so we haven’t seen her partying for ages, but she still looks effortlessly cool. Also in denim shorts, she’s dressing for comfort to ensure she doesn’t let thinking about ruining an outfit spoil any festival fun. Her Converse are a good touch – you can jump around and dance all night in footwear like that.

(6) Emma Roberts

Julia Roberts’ actress niece looks just like her with the big hair and the endless legs – she’s so pretty! A white dress is ideal in the sun, probably for the first day of a festival for the day you arrive as it wouldn’t look so pristine after day 2 or 3. But if you want to turn heads when you arrive, a white dress is an ideal way to do it.

(7) Leona Lewis

Clashing prints and bold florals look totally fabulous on Leona. This is not a look you could pull off every day but it looks amazing at a summer festival. The bold multicolour trousers make everyone look twice but the outfit is also flattering thanks to the crop top showing off her slim waist. It’s OTT but it suits her and a festival is one occasion where you can get away with wearing more colour than you would in every day life.

(8) Poppy Delevingne

Denim shorts – check. Warm sports jacket – check. You can tell Poppy’s a veteran at festivals. She even had her hen do at Coachella one year. With an outfit like this, Poppy’s saying she’s too cool to dress up but you can tell she’s thought about the jacket as it’s very unique – everyone else is in denim or suede jackets.

(9) Olivia Culpo

It’s not your average festival look, but then Coachella is not a typical festival and you can be smart as there’s no mud. Olivia looked fresh and cool in her jumpsuit, which she wore to one of the festival’s retreats. It’s unlikely that she danced to much music that day, but she did look summery. You could definitely dress this down with trainers for a chic arrival look.

(10) Amber Rose

There aren’t many places where you could get away with wearing a blazer over a swimsuit but the style rules are more relaxed at festivals. Experimenting is positively encouraged and if the weather’s good, why not? After all, some denim hotpants are more revealing than swimsuits! What do you think? The yellow jacket is pretty awesome.

Who do you think pulled off festival style the best? Looking at the stars above, we need denim shorts, a hat, a pretty arrivals outfit and a show-off outfit if we’re to nail the festival fashion this season.

Olivier Theatre Awards: Best Celeb Outfits

The Olivier Awards are like the Oscars of the theatre world. All of the West End stars gather together at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate a successful year and honour the most popular shows. And just because the stars had a night off performing, it didn’t mean they looked any less glamorous. In fact, everyone made an effort to look their absolute best and the red carpet was one never-ending procession of gorgeous maxi dresses.

If you have a summer ball, end-of-term party or work night out soon then we can look at what the actresses wore to these awards to get some inspiration. As you’ll see, there are lots of ways to make a statement at a formal party right now, whether you like colour, monochrome or floral dresses.

Let’s have a closer look at the gorgeous gowns:

Sheridan Smith

She’s one of the best British actresses around right now and when she’s not working she looks gorgeous too. Her 20s style fringed maxi dress made a style statement as it’s pretty but also very unique. You won’t find many other people at a party are dressed like you when you wear something like this, which is always a good thing! The added bonus of fringing is that it moves when you do on the dancefloor – it’s fun to wear.

Amanda Holden

Wow, talk about making an entrance! Britain’s Got Talent is back on our TV screens soon and Amanda Holden wants us all to know she’s back on the box in a yellow dress. It certainly worked – yellow always makes an impact. The floral detail at the neck is a nod to this season’s floral trend.

Rose Leslie

Thought theatre was boring? Think again! The Game Of Thrones actress shows it’s cool, stylish and modern in her dramatic red maxi dress. When you look closely, you can see that it also has a semi-transparent look thanks to mesh fabric. We think it’s stunning – what do you think?

Laura Mvula

If you want to get noticed, wear white! The singer looked sensational in a white maxi dress – everyone stopped and stared! The bardot neckline shows off her super toned shoulders and she looks sleek and sophisticated. This is a great dress to pack for a summer holiday as it would take you from beach to bar beautifully.

Louise Redknapp

The Strictly Come Dancing runner up rocked this season’s spring florals trend and looked feminine. Her floral maxi dress has flattering short sleeves to enhance her arms while the keyhole cutout is cute and flirtatious. This dress would never date – you could pull it out in autumn or next spring and still feel pretty and stylish in it.

Billie Piper

She’s proved she can act on TV with roles in Dr Who and Secret Diary of a Call Girl and now her stage play is getting excellent reviews too. No wonder she looks so cool and confident. Her strapless black maxi dress is just the right mix of flattering and edgy with its feather embellishment. It’s a dress that makes people look twice.

Tracy Ann Oberman

The former Eastenders actress was nominated for Best Supporting Actress and although she didn’t win, she looked like a winner in her sensational figure hugging black maxi dress. You can tell she’s on her feet all day as her figure looks super slim and she’s proud of that, which is a reason for opting for such a close-fitting dress. The elegant shape makes it look expensive so less is more when it comes to accessories with a dress like this – a pair of diamond ear-rings and a pendant necklace will do!

Sophie Okonedo

The British actress looked lovely and spring-like in a loose, floaty printed maxi dress, accessorised with a thick gold bangle. As it’s April and we’re in the UK, you can never be sure of the weather so a long sleeve maxi dress that’s loose and allows you to breathe is a good shout as it can keep the chill off and keep you cool – it’s a smart dress and looks effortlessly elegant.

CinemaCon: Celebrity Outfit Inspiration

CinemaCon is the largest and most important gathering for the film industry. Taking place in a giant convention centre in Las Vegas, it’s not as glamorous as one of the film festivals of Cannes, Venice or Toronto, but it’s where the deals are done and networking takes place on a grand scale.

It’s always very star studded as all the major film studios attend to promote their upcoming releases and they take the actors and actresses of those films along for Q&As on stage. It’s one never ending procession of glamorous celeb after glamorous celeb – there’s always a lot for us to look at! Even better is that it’s a daytime event so the celebs wear gorgeous day outfits that we can see ourselves wearing for a special occasion this spring. Going to the races? Got a wedding coming up? Or just want a smarter, more sophisticated look for work?  Check out these 8 amazing celeb looks at CinemaCon.

Mila Kunis

Mila managed to look smart but also super comfortable in black separates with cropped black trousers and a sleeveless black top. She looks businesslike but also stylish as the outfit fits her beautifully. By tucking her top into her trousers she highlights her slim waist. This is an outfit that you would feel not only comfortable in but confident in as you’d look fantastic for any eventuality.

Kirsten Dunst

Spring is the season for florals and Kirsten Dunst showed off her tanned legs in a beautiful floral mini dress. The colour is so light, fresh and feminine, you just look at it and feel more cheerful. And for the wearer, the light colours brighten up skin tones meaning you’ll look healthy and alert and more tanned. This dress would be perfect for a spring / summer wedding.

Cara Delevingne

She’s new at acting, but if she acts as well as she dresses, a big star is in the making! Cara dazzled in a bright red blouse with a leather skirt, making a bold entrance onto the stage. This might not be a look you’d wear to the office but it’d turn heads on a night out at a cocktail bar as it’s a cool and strong look with a feminine edge.

Charlize Theron

The South African actress also wore a floral dress, but her purple dress was much brighter. It’s a gorgeous colour on her and would suit blondes or brunettes. Again, this would be ideal to wear as a wedding guest as it’s light and will keep you cool during the service while helping you to stand out and have some fun on the dancefloor. Also, purple isn’t that popular a colour so you wouldn’t be in danger of another guest wearing something similar to you.

Naomi Watts

Naomi looked very elegant and chic in a smart blue midi dress. The shape is very conservative but it has a playful edge thanks to the colour and the stripes. This would be good for the workplace as you’ll impress your boss without compromising on expressing your personality. What do you think?

Maria Menounos

The E! News presenter always dresses to make sure we notice her just as much as the celebs she talks about and how can we fail to do that when she wears things as fabulous as this one shoulder white jumpsuit? The colour is absolutely dazzling against her tanned skin and the one shoulder detail makes it that little bit different so we want to look twice.

Jessica Chastain

Polka dots are starting to make a comeback this season. Emma Stone’s worn them, Alexa Chungs got involved and now Jessica is the latest to get the polka dot look. Her midi dress is really fun and quirky, especially with the statement yellow heels!

Laura Haddock

Transformers: The Last Knight will be Laura’s first film since having a baby and she was every inch the yummy mummy in a black lace dress. The lace detail is so pretty that our eyes are drawn upwards so we don’t notice any bits she wants to hide. Also, black is a flattering colour to wear and it looks like she has a very sleek silhouette. It’s always lovely to see a British actress holding her own in Hollywood in both the acting and the style stakes.

National Portrait Gala: Most Glamorous Celeb Gowns

Celebrities don’t just attend film premieres and fashion parties, sometimes they show they’re interested in something more cultural and attend art galleries. London’s National Portrait Gallery was also very smart and asked Alexa Chung to be on their fundraising committee. This meant that even those stars who weren’t knowledgeable about art wanted to attend as Alexa Chung knows how to host a party!

The occasion was a gala dinner so the dress code was a lot more formal than a regular party. And as the Duchess of Cambridge popped in because she’s patron of the gallery, nobody wanted to look scruffy in front of Princess Kate! Now spring’s here it’s the ideal time to look at smart evening dresses as the summer balls, graduation events and horse racing days are fast approaching.

Let’s have a closer look at some of the best dressed celebs in their stunning outfits:

Alexa Chung

As the host of the event, Alexa had to make an entrance and she stood out in a polka dot dress. Monochrome is always a guaranteed way to get noticed and the bardot neckline of her maxi dress is super cute as it shows off a hint of flesh, but not too much and gives us all something to look at as it’s that little bit different. This is a fashion forward way of dressing for a smart event as it’s a maxi dress but she’s still true to her individual rock chick style.

Arizona Muse

The American model turned heads in a bright printed multicoloured maxi dress with an open back. It was dazzling from the front due to the mix of colours and then she turned around and took everyone’s breath away due to the dress’s backless detail. Sometimes covering up at the front and showing off your back can make a real impact.

The Duchess of Cambridge

Kate looked lovely in lace showing that a lace dress is perfect for a posh party. However, she makes hers a little bit different with the beautiful bottle green colour. This suits her hair colour and skin tone perfectly but the key thing is that it also brings out the hint of green that she has in her eyes. If you have a complexion like Kate’s, seriously consider wearing green.

Donna Air

The TV personality opted for a vintage pink dress and looked fresh and feminine. Spring is the perfect time of year to wear pastels and a dress like this with its matching pastel pink clutch bag  is perfect for a spring wedding or a day at the races. What do you think?

Rosamund Pike

The actress also proved that monochrome helps you make an entrance as she looked stunning in her white maxi dress with black ribbon detail. She’s used to wowing in dramas like Gone Girl and she makes sure that she does the same when the cameras aren’t rolling in outfits like this. The bold red lipstick finishes the look perfectly.

Samantha Cameron

Now that her husband is now longer Prime Minister, Samantha can have more fun with fashion – hence her red evening dress. It’s still quite conservative due to the high neckline and long sleeves, but the ribbon detail draws attention to her slim waist. Sometimes, a red dress can look brassy, but she shows how you can wear red to get noticed but when people look closer they see something super sophisticated and classy.

Whose dress did you like the most? If you haven’t got any special occasion coming up, maybe it’s worth hosting one yourself so you can wear something gorgeous!

The Daily Front Row Awards: Best Dressed

The Daily Front Row fashion website has hosted an annual awards ceremony to honour it’s favourite models, designers, actresses and TV stars for the past four years and each year it’s bigger and better.

As it takes place in LA, the weather is always fabulous and so it’s a great insight into spring / summer party fashion. Some guests go all out with maxi dresses, but others show off their legs in mini dresses with killer heels – there’s a real mix.

Got any nights out planned? Let’s have a closer look at some of the best dressed:

Rebecca Romijin

The actress made use of monochrome to stand out – her jumpsuit looked fabulous from all angles. Having a block stripe at the side of an outfit can be slimming as it makes your body look smaller from the front and back. As white is the main colour and black is the secondary colour, it’s light and uplifting and very summery.

Kim Kardashian

Kim channelled bridal wear in her white maxi dress, but if you can’t make a statement at a fashion awards ceremony, when can you? She’s over the top and she’s owning it! What do you think?

The Black Eyed Peas singer has gorgeous lean but strong legs, so she showed off her best assets in a long sleeve black mini dress. The ruffle detail on the shoulders and on her bottom make it that little bit different from a regular black dress and her embellished black sandals are stunning. Fergie does fashion just as well as she does music.

Lily Aldridge and Stella Maxwell

These two Victoria’s Secret models are used to posing for photos but they stepped it up a gear in their lace maxi dress and sequin maxi dress. It’s only when you feel confident in your outfit and know you look gorgeous that you can pose like this. Maxi dresses do help us to feel more glamorous as they’re only worn on special occasions so when we have one on, we know we’re ready.

Hailey Baldwin

If Hailey’s beige bodycon midi dress wasn’t gorgeous enough, check out those over the knee boots. The model / actress has made great use of colour, using contrasting shades that we wouldn’t normally put together. She’s also got suede boots with a woollen dress and the contrasting textures also works. Clashing is the new matchy, matchy!

Paris Jackson

Michael Jackson’s model daughter is totally a star in her own right in this bold printed mini dress with barely there sandals. She doesn’t need any accessories as her gorgeous blonde hair and captivating blue eyes are really piercing and she has a fabulous figure. If you know what your best assets are, why not show them off?

Nicki Minaj

Nicki always takes risks with fashion but she was quite conservative for her in a black tuxedo style dress. At first glance, it looked like it had been embellished with tassles but then examine the picture closer an you’ll see it’s hair. This time, she’d taken risks with her grooming rather than the outfit – even Nicki doesn’t go all out in all areas.

Who do you think looked the most glam?

Celebrity Steal Style: Lady Gaga

As Lady Gaga prepares to celebrate her 30th birthday, we can’t help but notice that her style is evolving. While she still puts on a show when she’s on stage, gone are the Kermit the Frog dresses and outfits made from meat. In their place are sophisticated and elegant smart-casual outfits and glamorous gowns for night.

Gaga has never looked better and as she prepares to take over from Beyonce as the headliner of the Coachella festival – the first ever female headliner – she’s also in great shape. It’s inspiring to see that whatever your style history, you can turn things around and re-invent yourself.

Here are a couple of ways to copy her new look:

Lady Gaga by day

Gaga looked super chic in a luxe jumper and jeans as she went for a pre-birthday lunch in LA. The simplicity of this look is what makes it stylish and she looks effortlessly cool. All the elements in this outfit are well-made and fit her perfectly, which is why the look comes together so well. We can achieve it by starting with the V by Very Addison high-waisted super skinny jeans and a soft jumper like the V by Very crew neck jumper. Jeans with heels always look amazing and the V by Very Melanie pointed court shoes are especially glamorous – great for day or night. Finish the look with the Dune Dempsey large tote bag and you have an outfit ideal for a weekend on which you want to impress.

Lady Gaga by night

When Lady Gaga presented an award at the British Fashion Awards last year, photographers made her pose on the red carpet for almost an hour as everyone was so blown away by how fabulous she looked. The strappy neck detail of her black maxi dress gave it an extra edge, especially as the rest of the dress was so floaty. It’s very similar to the Rochelle Humes ribbon tie front maxi dress. For this look, all you need is some simple strappy sandals like the V by Very Bella ankle strap minimal heeled sandals to make a confident arrival. You’ll walk tall and feel proud of yourself in an outfit like this.

What do you think of Gaga’s more glam style?

We Day Celebration: Best Dressed Celebs

We Day is an annual event to encourage more people to volunteer for local communities, with the goal to make people shift from a ‘me’ mentality to a ‘we’ mentality. And a great way to draw attention to the cause was to have a gig at Wembley Arena – there’s a reason why the word ‘fun’ is in fundraising!

With performances from Jessie J and Fleur East, a motivational speech from Kate Winslet and some super cool hosts in radio presenters Yasmin Evans and Becca D, the event was truly inspirational. Everyone dressed up for the occasion to show they cared about the cause. Let’s have a closer look at how they all did this:

Jessie J

Jessie has kept a low profile for a while but made a glamorous entrance back onto the scene with beautiful bootcut trousers and a crop top. Jessie’s always had great abs so she shows them off as she knows people are envious of them. If you’ve got it, flaunt it!

Becca D

She’s a host on Hoxton radio, but she’s destined for TV and she’s so fun and has a fabulous sense of style. She turned heads all night long in her printed jumpsuit but she made sure she was able to run around the stage by wearing flat ankle boots. Clever!

Fleur East

Fleur dressed conservatively as she arrived at the event in a white shirt dress – she was dressing as if she meant business. The red heels and the red lipstick keep the look young and fresh – this could be a lovely outfit for the office as it’s smart but it shows the wearer’s personality.

Kate Winslet

Kate dressed to match the theme of the night in a comfortable grey t-shirt. This shows she’s confident enough to get on stage and be recognised for what she’s talking about rather than what she’s wearing. She’s actually really humorous!

Paula Abdul

The singer, songwriter and talent show judge looked ready for spring in a floral playsuit. The colours are bright and pretty and the cold shoulder detail is on trend this season. What do you think?

Radio 1Xtra’s Yasmin Evans

Yasmin looked like she was ready for a film premiere in a striking dark yellow jumpsuit. The yellow makes it eye-catching but the stripes give it a smart but edgy look so it doesn’t look as if you’re trying to hard. She knows her own sense of style just as much as she knows her music.

Six Inspiring Celebrity Yummy Mummies

Mother’s Day is very much a family day as most mums value time with their kids more than any gifts or presents. For the stars it’s the same as they’re often on film sets or on a music promotional tour and don’t always get to spend as much time with their offspring as they’d like. When they do have down time, they dress fashionably but practically so they can actually do things with their families.

Therefore, in honour of Mother’s Day, let’s take a look at six of the most stylish yummy celeb mummies. They’re fantastic inspiration for what to wear on family occasions when you’re doing activities but you want to look as glam as you can.

Kate Hudson

Sporty mummy Kate looked ready for spring in pastel blue linen trousers with a neutral beige top. The trousers are loose fitting and comfortable to keep you cool no matter how much you have to run around and you could dress these up for night by wearing with sandals instead of flats and changing into more of a party top. This look is effortless glamour!

Soon to be a mum of three, Beyonce has stuck to her style throughout motherhood and always looks fabulous. Skinny jeans and a white shirt may be a classic choice for a family day out but Beyonce gives her outfit more attitude with her black ankle boots, round sunglasses and statement jewellery. Sometimes it’s all about the accessories…

Kim Kardashian

This is one of Kim’s more practical outfits, which she wore for a day of fashion shows in New York. A shirt dress is easy to wear and is also very flattering as they feature a belt which highlights a slim waist and shows off your curves. A shirt dress with ankle boots is comfortable without being dowdy and wearing something like this will give you confidence that you look amazing, even when you’re doing something really normal.

Mila Kunis

Mum-of-two Mila shows how a black maxi dress can be a flattering choice of day-wear. She doesn’t have to worry about any wardrobe malfunctions, the fabric feels loose and light next to her skin and she can accessorise it to dress it up more if needs be. What do you think?

Jessica Alba

If you’re planning a family lunch or afternoon tea on Mother’s Day, Jessica showed off the ideal outfit on the Jimmy Kimmel TV show. This outfit is sophisticated and elegant but still shows you have a personality. A pencil skirt gives you a gorgeous hourglass shape and when you have a gorgeous bottle green colour like this, all you need is a black top.

Jennifer Lopez

JLo has twins and yet she still looks young and fresh. Light blue skinny jeans are ideal for spring and she keeps things bright and breezy with a white blouse and a white blazer. The red boots add a diva vibe!

TV And Radio Stars Wow at The TRIC Awards

TRIC stands for TV and Radio Industries Club and the annual awards ceremony is a big deal as the stars vote for their peers. To know that other people in the same industry think you are doing a great job is a huge honour!

The awards ceremony may take place during the day in London’s five-star Grosvenor House Hotel, but the dress code is more suited to night-time glamour. It’s less formal than the BAFTAs or the Oscars, but there are a lot of pretty party dresses, which is more practical for the rest of us to copy as there are a lot more occasions to wear party clothes than there are formal maxi dresses.

Soap stars, TV presenters and reality TV contestants all showed up to the awards do so there was plenty of glamour and inspiration. Let’s have a closer look at who wore what before moving onto who won what:

Holly Willoughby

Holly won three awards – TV personality, one for This Morning and one for Celebrity Juice – and looked gorgeous as she collected them in a monochrome prom dress with a full skirt. It’s very flattering as it showcased her small waist before flowing out to show off her curves. It’s not a complicated dress in terms of embellishment but it’s a fabulous fit and shape.

Vicky Pattinson

Vicky went for a 1920s style vintage beige maxi dress and looked girly and elegant. The cream colour complemented her tan while the colour detail lifted the look and made it more cheerful. She looked like an old-fashioned Hollywood movie starlet rather than someone who used to be on Geordie Shore, she’s doing well!

Kym Marsh

The Coronation Street star may have lost out to Eastenders but she had a winning outfit on with her white midi dress and pretty beige court shoes. If you have legs likes hers, you just have to get them out don’t you? Also, as we are starting to see more sunny weather and spring is coming, now is the time to wear white.

Ferne McCann

Ferne’s been popping up on several TV shows since her successful stint in the I’m A Celeb jungle so she’s feeling confident. You can tell this by what she’s wearing as a dress with fringe detail is a brave choice. She totally pulls it off as she walks with attitude. The strappy black heeled sandals finish off the look perfectly, giving her extra height and more reason to feel fabulous when she walks into the room.

Megan McKenna

She knew that she was going to be in the same building as her ex Pete Wicks, so Megan had to look (and act) strong. If you feel the part, you can be braver and walk around with more attitude. Megan did just that in a black suit with black heeled sandals. What do you think?

Faye Brookes

The Coronation Street actress turned heads in a floral multi-colour maxi dress. It’s floaty, feminine and full of the joys of spring. If you want to get attention without flashing too much flesh, this is a classy way to do it.

Emma Bunton

Emma looked bold and beautiful in a multi-coloured jumpsuit and she must be doing something right as she won two awards – best radio presenter and one for her role on the Heart Breakfast Show. She’s no longer just a former Spice Girl as she’s proved to herself and her peers and colleagues that she has talent on the radio. That’s true girl power!

Who do you think looked the best? And the award winners are:

Reality programme – Strictly Come Dancing

Soap Personality – Kym Marsh

Digital Radio Programme – Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston, Heart Breakfast

See The Celebrity Looks At The Glamour Beauty Festival

Glamour Magazine hosted it’s second annual Beauty Festival and it was two days dedicated to beauty and fashion! It consisted of a full program of celebrity speakers and beauty experts on stage combined with different hair, make-up and nail trends to try off-stage. As it was hosted at The Saatchi Gallery in London, nobody had to camp which meant that everyone could really dress up!

Off stage, everyone was experimenting at the blowdry and braiding bar, nail salon and Fiat beach party relaxation area and there were some seriously unique and individual outfits as people had the confidence to try new things. On stage, the celebs looked super smart with most wearing blazers and trousers. It ended up being great inspiration for what to wear to a work event or occasion where you want to get taken seriously but also look fantastic.

Let’s have a closer look at how the stars did this:

Frankie Bridge

Frankie worked the monochrome look in a white blazer and black pinstripe trousers. It’s smart but she retains her personality thanks to the cute crop effect and loose style of the trousers and finishing the look with some contrasting brown ankle boots. Also, note that she wears her hair down and wavy so she looks fresh and pretty rather than  severe.

Winnie Harlow and Erin O Connor

White was a popular colour when it came to tops as supermodel Winnie Harlow also wore a white blazer and fellow model Erin O Connor wore a white blouse. The two were on stage to talk about what beauty products they’ve encountered through modelling and what they still use and they had a lot of fun answering the Q&As from the audience. What transformed Winnie’s outfit from office wear to awesome were her gold sandals – wow!

Fearne Cotton

Fearne made the most of colour in her outfit in grey trousers and a cream blazer. She was talking about how her cookbook is all about nourishing beauty from the inside and she was a great example of this as she seemed to be glowing with health on stage. Wearing bright clashing colours does make you feel  more cheerful and that also helps you look and feel more upbeat.

Louisa Johnson

Louisa also wore trousers but she stuck to an all-black look. An outfit like this is super versatile as you can dress it up or down with accessories and hair and make-up. With her stunning platinum braids and smoky eyes, Louisa looks like she’s ready to have fun – this is a look for meeting up with friends or going to the bar. It doesn’t look like you’ve tried too hard, but people will still be impressed.

Angela Scanlon

The new presenter of The One Show hosted a talk about make-up, which she knows a lot about now HD TV shows all the flaws. She looked stunning in a statement checked coat with casual boyfriend jeans – the mix of smart and casual looked super cool! The Converse added to that, making her look like the girl who you wish was your friend as she looks like she’d be fun to hang out with.

Who do you think looked the most stylish?
