Celeb Party Outfits At Superbowl 50

The Superbowl isn’t just about sport – it’s all about the party atmosphere and what people are wearing to celebrate! As it’s one of the biggest events in America’s sporting calendar, parties happened all across San Francisco where the game was held.

And as the focus was on sport, celebs had to show off to ensure they got attention over the football. Here are the Top 5 Super Celeb Looks:

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga was one of the biggest stars of the night as she sang the National Anthem before the big game. I love a trouser suit and although you do need some guts to pull off a red one, it is the colour of love as Valentine’s Day is coming up.

Beyonce was performing, which is why she’s wearing a skimpy outfit, but I loved her leather jacket. You could wear a good quality leather jacket anywhere and it would last you all year as it also looks great with skater dresses in the summer. As for black hotpants – if they’re good enough for Beyonce….

Adriana Lima

The Victoria’s Secret model got into the Superbowl spirit at Vanity Fair’s party in a black mini dress. If you’re not sure what to wear to a party then a black dress fits every scenario. And the leather jacket, taking a note from Beyonce’s book, helps her to stand out even more for the right reasons.

 January Jones

A flowing white dress isn’t just a summer thing! The Mad Men actress looks super stylish in her white dress, showing off a slight boho edge. With everyone else in black, red or leather, it’s good January has chosen white. The faux fur jacket adds an air of luxury, don’t you think?

Alicia Keys

Alicia performed at one of the Superbowl parties and looked like a true rock chick with her leather skirt and black t-shirt. This is both feminine and fierce – I really like it.

Celebs give their best ‘Blue Steel’ at premiere

From maxi dresses to strapless bodycon dresses it was outfit inspiration galore at the Zoolander 2 premiere.

Penelope Cruz

The Spanish actress looked stunning in a metallic maxi dress. Metallics are a key trend for SS16.

Lara Stone

Wow! This strapless bodycon dress is dazzling.

Kirsten Wiig

The American actress’ black mini dress looks vintage, everything looks pretty with a bow on!

Millie Mackintosh

Millie looks gorgeous in this black maxi dress. Perfect 90’s vintage.

Neelam Gill

Neelam is an up and coming British model so she needs to make a good impression. She’s got it right with her grey maxi dress. I love it!

Celebrities Party After Dad’s Army Premiere

Dad’s Army is a cult classic so lots of celebs turned up to support the cast and crew at the premiere in London’s Leicester Square. Despite the rain, everyone made a real effort to look glam. There’s no point in going out if you’re not looking and feeling your best, is there?

Colour blocking was the biggest trend of the night as all the stars opted for outfits in one bold, bright colour. As Dry January is almost over and Valentine’s Day is coming up, let’s have a look at some of the best outfits that are guaranteed to impress your mates and dates.

(1) Catherine Zeta Jones

Catherine’s outfit reminded me of what Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore down the catwalk in Paris. A blue maxi dress suits blondes and brunettes alike and helps alert the fact that you’re at a party.

(2) Millie Mackintosh

Who said you can’t get noticed in black? Millie’s zip detail jumpsuit showed off her glowing tan and she danced the night away at Annabel’s nightclub.

(3) Emily Atack

Emily also opted for black at the premiere, but stood out as her maxi dress was so Princess-like. I do like a long-sleeve maxi dress at this time of year. It will keep you warm so you may not need a coat and it looks really elegant.

(4) Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie showed that she is  a fun royal in a leather dress. She wore it well! I’ve noticed a great selection of PU dresses and PU skirts right now, which really catch the eye.

(5) Rosie Fortescue

Made In Chelsea’s Rosie showed off her fashion blogger credentials in a green dress. The midnight green is a warm colour, which lifts even pale skin and I like the midi length.

What outfit would you most like to wear?

Best Dressed Celebs At Paris Fashion Week

Paris is known for being a stylish city but it really comes alive during fashion week. The women’s fashion week starts in March, but the men’s shows are a warm-up and a lot of celebs attend because who can turn down a weekend in Paris?

Versace had a unisex fashion show so there were some gorgeous looks on the catwalk worn by celebrity models like Gigi Hadid, Joan Smalls and Rosie Huntington Whiteley. While on the FROW were Georgia May Jagger, Rita Ora and Olivia Palermo. We can take some inspiration from their fabulous outfits both on the runway and on the streets.

Rosie Huntington Whiteley

I’m ready for some more bright colour in fashion. It cheers you up when you look in the mirror, it lifts the skin tone and it enables you to make an impact when you arrive. Rosie’s blue maxi dress was stunning.

Olivia Palermo

Faux fur is always a stylish option and Olivia’s faux fur gilet kept her warm and added a luxury twist to her outfit.  Her tailored trousers are very cool. Mis-matched outfits seem to be the way forward this season.

Gigi Hadid

I love a jumpsuit and a trouser suit so I’m excited to see they’re very much in fashion. A well-fitted suit will make you look sleek, sophisticated and in control – it’s the definition of power dressing.

Georgia May Jagger

Gerorgia May looked effortlessly cool in a printed blazer and black trousers. I love how she’s layered up this look, combining classic tailoring with a bright print- tres chic!

Joan Smalls

There were no shrinking violets at the Versace show, but Joan stole most of the limelight in an orange dress. A bodycon dress is perfect for partying in – she’d look good on the dancefloor in that.

Rita Ora

Rita attended a Chopard dinner looking sophisticated in a red maxi dress. Red’s been a popular colour at the year’s award ceremonies and Rita wore hers well, flying the flag for British fashion in Paris

Britain’s Got Talent Auditions: Judges Fashion

Britain’s Got Talent is coming back! The London auditions are currently underway and the judges will be spending four days in the capital’s Dominion Theatre, separating the wannabes from the truly entertaining.

David Walliams and Simon Cowell kept up their bromance while Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden added some glamour to the panel. When it comes to dressing, these ladies are talented. Let’s have a closer look at what they wore:

Alesha Dixon

Alesha posted a dressing room selfie to Instagram of herself all glammed up. I think the G Star Raw white flare jeans are a great match for Alesha’s and depending on how brave you are, wear them with the V by Very rib vest top or the Adidas crop top.

Amanda Holden

Amanda showed off her feminine side in a white maxi dress with a cream coat. I love the South faux fur wrap coat, as it would go equally well with jeans or a dress. For a look like Amanda’s, it would go well with the Little Mistress embellished maxi dress.

Whose  style do you prefer – Amanda or Alesha? Now let’s just hope they both found some talented contestants for when the show comes on screen in the Spring.

National TV Awards: Top 10 Celebrity Outfits

The National TV Awards are like the Oscars of the British TV industry. It’s the most glamorous night of the year in television as stars from shows like This Morning mix with soap stars like Coronation Street. Then there are the live music performances from divas Fleur East and Gloria Gaynor- what more could you want?!

Let’s have a look at who won in the style stakes. If you have a night out planned, then these ladies’ outfits are inspirational:

(1) Rochelle Humes

Rochelle and her husband Marvin looked adorable together.  A red maxi dress definitely gets you noticed. When combined with hair-up and flawless skin, it’s a look Hollywood stars would be jealous of.

(2) Fearne Cotton

Fearne always has fantastic style and leads the pack rather than following. I loved her sleek cream maxi dress, which had a vintage edge to it.

(3) Ashley Roberts

Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts looked red hot. Her red maxi dress was an eye-catching scarlet shade and I love the split.

(4) Nikki Sanderson

Talk about an hourglass figure – wow! Nikki’s lace maxi dress hugged every curve. She shows off her figure without revealing too much and getting cold. I like it – what do you think?

(5) Emma Willis

Emma transforms a black maxi dress into something stunning with some pretty embellishments.

(6) Ferne McCann

Ferne’s completely re-invented herself since leaving TOWIE. She came across well on I’m a Celeb, she’s got a job on This Morning and she looks really classy in her silver maxi dress.

(7) Holly Willoughby

Holly turned heads in a dazzling white maxi dress.

(8) Alison King

Corrie’s Alison King wore my favourite black dress of the night. I like the fact that she was brave enough to wear a midi dress while everyone else wore a maxi dress. The shape makes her waist look tiny, and this dress is great if you’re petite as maxi dresses can sometimes make you look shorter.

(9) Jessica Wright

Jessica channeled her inner vamp in a black maxi dress.

(10) Amanda Holden

Amanda’s black maxi dress was so elegant. The shape was simple, which makes it look as if she hasn’t tried too hard – even though we all know a lot of effort goes into looking that good.

And the winners are:

Talent show: Strictly Come Dancing

Challenge show: The Great British Bake Off

Drama: Downton Abbey

Serial drama: EastEnders

Serial drama performance: Danny Dyer in EastEnders

Golden Globes Awards: Top 10 Celebrity Looks

The Golden Globes are a big deal during Awards season. There are film and music categories but the film categories are taken super seriously as the winners usually go on to win Oscars as well. That’s great news for Kate Winslet as she won Best Supporting Actress,  so there’s a good chance it’ll be yet another Oscar win for her.

This year it wasn’t just the dresses that were dazzling as Rosie Huntington Whiteley wore a massive diamond on her engagement finger. Jason Statham has finally popped the question…and she said YES! It was a bright and happy night all round. Here’s who I think looked the best:

(1) Kate Winslet

The British acrtress looked regal and Princess like with her dark blue maxi dress. The colour isn’t attention grabbing but it’s chic and she knows it. She wins in the fashion stakes as well as the award stakes.

(2) Jennifer Lawrence

Wow! Talk about a statement dress. In this scarlet maxi dress, Jennifer turned heads from the moment she arrived. You can’t beat a red dress if you want to get noticed.

(3) Rosie Huntington Whiteley

Gold can be a tricky colour to wear but if you have a golden tan then it’s a great compliment to your skin tone. At awards ceremonies there’s always a chance more people will wear gold and you’ll all blend in, but luckily Rosie had the colour to herself and she worked it. What do you think?

(4) Lily James

Lily really reminded me of her Cinderella character in this white maxi dress. I love how it floated as she walked, making her appear fairytale-like. The colour’s pretty attention grabbing too.

(5) Joanne Froggatt

The Downton Abbey actress has gone all LA! She fits in well with her strapless maxi dress and looks like a vintage Hollywood starlet. Something tells me she will have a fantastic career after Downton…

(6) Jennifer Lopez

You can rely on JLo to go for a daring outfit and I don’t blame her. If you’ve got it then flaunt it! She’s an example of how you can get away with something outrageous if you wear it with attitude and it makes me less fearful about wearing a yellow dress.

(7) Cate Blanchett

The detail on Cate’s dress was beautiful! The sequin embellishment and layers of chiffon reminded me of a 1920s flapper frock, except it was a maxi dress. It’s gorgeous from the front and then when she turned round we saw it was backless. It would suit both summer and winter events – it’s timeless!

(8) Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga looked so feminine and pretty, it’s just hard to imagine that this was the lady who once wore a meat dress to an awards ceremony. Her black maxi dress showed off her figure and flattered it in all the right places. Black is a classic!

(9) Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst also opted for a black maxi dress and I like the way hers has a rock chic edge. Whether you want to look sophisticated, vampy, rocky or classy, there’s a black maxi for all tastes. It’s amazing how one colour can be worn so many different ways!

(10) Amy Adams

What I like about Amy’s dress is that it’s a subtle way of getting noticed. The colour is bold but it’s classic shape of a maxi dress with a slight train is understated. She shows that a red maxi dress doesn’t have to be OTT and you can look effortlessly chic wearing one…even if you have red hair.

People’s Choice Awards: Best Dressed

After Christmas party season comes Awards season! Everything kicked off in America this week with The People’s Choice Awards, which are voted for by the public.

This means we get to see a more diverse range of stars on the red carpet, compared to an industry-judged event like The Oscars and The Grammy’s. Also, the People’s Choice combines TV, film and music so it’s the first big party of the year.

A great cure for the Winter Blues is shopping for party dresses and the stars had some truly fabulous outfits that night. Just looking at them on the red carpet makes me want to plan my next big night out.

Here are the Top 5 Looks of the night, which can inspire us for our nights out in 2016:

Kate Hudson

Kate floated rather than walked down the red carpet in a white wide leg jumpsuit. Not only is the white colour guaranteeing she gets noticed, but the shape flows perfectly enabling the wearer to make a movie star entrance anywhere they go. A wide leg jumpsuit like this is an ideal way to make a statement and get noticed…for the right reasons.

Vanessa Hudgens

Wow! Talk about vamp! It’s almost unbelievable that this powerful lady used to be in the kids franchise High School Musical. Now she’s certainly all grown up and not only is her maxi dress fabulous, but the choker adds an extra bit of attitude.

Meghan Trainor

I love how Meghan dressed to flatter her figure. She has a tiny wait and great cleavage with shapely legs and she showed it all off in a wrap dress. Also, you can’t beat a bit of sequins to add a bit of sparkle to the night, especially when the nights are long and it gets dark early.

Sandra Bullock

I love a red dress and Sandra Bullock wore a pretty spectacular red lace dress to win the Best Actress award. As she walked through the auditorium to get up on stage, everyone turned their head thanks to the striking colour. She’s not flashing the flesh and looks rather sophisticated but the colour gets her noticed. It’s a classy look!

Natalie Dormer

Natalie used to be in Hollyoaks before making it big in Game of Thrones and she’s still got a cool, uniquely British sense of style compared to the uber groomed LA starlets. She looks effortlessly good in her black jumpsuit. This outfit would be perfect for a Friday night out, don’t you think?

So who do you think looked best? Personally, I’m loving jumpsuits at this time of year. They’re easy to wear, they flatter the figure and they look fierce. What’s not to like?

Star Wars Premiere Gossip And Glamour

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens premiere was an event that all the celebs wanted to attend – whether they were starring or not!

It’s the last big premiere before Christmas and this means it’s the last big chance to make an impact in sequins and sparkles! The celebs go all out to dress up, hoping they will go global if they get it right. It’s a time when people take risks to stand out and we can learn from this and look at what works. Here’s my personal top 5:

(1) Daisy Ridley

LONDON, UK - DECEMBER 16: Actress Daisy Ridley attends the European Premiere of the highly anticipated Star Wars: The Force Awakens in London on December 16, 2015.

The British actress has gone from bit parts in Casualty to a lead role in one of the most famous franchises ever. She spent over an hour signing autographs, despite the fact it was a freezing winter night. Her black maxi dress was gorgeous – she is dressing like a star already.

(2) Gwendoline Christie

Talking of gorgeous, Game of Thrones actress Gwendoline showed off her feminine side with a floaty black maxi dress with a feather trim. How gorgeous does she look?

(3) Lupita N’yongo

Oscar winner Lupita has always done her own thing when it comes to fashion – being a lot bolder and brighter than a lot of the rest of Hollywood when it comes to her outfits. I loved the maxi skirt she wore at the premiere, which was embellished with studs and had a fabulous fringe. It stood out more given she wore a classic tailored blazer on the top half. What do you think?

(4) Felicity Jones

Felicity has gone for a classic LBD. I love a black bodycon dress and Felicity pulls it off as everything fits her fabulously.

(5) Sophie Cumberbatch

I love Sophie’s look. Monochrome is great for catching the eye and it’s also a flattering print as stripes make you look smaller.

And finally, Myleene Klass looked stunning in an outfit from her own collection:

The jumpsuit is printed with circles, which resemble a space scene so it’s perfect. It fits the theme and it’s gorgeous. It’s full name is  the Myleene Klass embellished jumpsuit, if you’re interested.

Awards Ball Fashion: Bambi And Battersea Dogs and Cats Galas

One of the good things about it getting dark earlier in Winter is that it means there is more time to party. December is fast approaching, which means work and social Christmas parties and catching up with friends that we might not have seen for ages. So it’s important to look fabulous so we can have some lovely pictures to remind us of the festive season. Photos last forever after all!

I think there can be quite a lot of pressure at this time of year to get things perfect, but we don’t have to let it get us down as there are some simple ways to get inspiration. For example, we can look at how the celebrities have got it right with their party outfits and use it as inspiration. Fortunately there have been a couple of formal events this week so here’s a closer look at what happened at the events and what the celebs wore to dazzle:

BAMBI Awards

This is Germany’s biggest award ceremony and attracts A’list stars from around the world. Awards are given to excellent film, music and TV stars and the dress code is as glamorous as The Oscars.

Rita Ora

Rita won the award for Best International Music star and I think she also wins the award for best dressed. Her grey maxi dress is just fabulous! The train may get awkward in real life, but grey is ideal for a Christmas party as you stand out but it’s still a soft colour.

Heidi Klum

Heidi won Best Model and showed off her elegance and stage presence in a purple strapless maxi dress. Purple is the colour of royalty and she acted like a princess on stage, accepting her trophy. The strapless cut is very flattering. Gorgeous!

Hilary Swank

Hilary also picked up an award, getting honoured for her acting. She looks so pretty in this black and silver long sleeve maxi dress. It’s simple and flattering to her figure and she keeps the look simple with a side bun. Sometimes it’s best if you keep it simple – it makes me want a long sleeve maxi dress, that’s for sure.

Battersea Dogs Home Collars and Coats Ball

This is the annual fundraiser for Battersea Dogs Home so the stars turn up and really make an effort to support the animals. Each year it raises £100,000 for vulnerable animals and the celebs donate things to auction.

Leigh Anne Pinnock

Little Mix’s Leigh Anne Pinnock and her boyfriend Jordan Kiffin are back together and they adopted a cute little pup for the night. I don’t know what was cuter – the fluffy dog or Leigh Anne’s outfit with her co-ordinate set.

Camilla Kerslake

Camilla’s the girlfriend of England rugby captain Chris Robshaw so she’s had a tough month since England were knocked out of the world cup early, but now she’s dazzling again in a yellow dress. Sometimes the best way to cheer yourself up is to wear something bright and fabulous. Not many people wear yellow to a Christmas party so this is a good outfit if you want to make an impression.

Who do you think looked the best? I have to say Rita Ora looked incredible. A maxi dress is perfect for cold weather and it always looks like you’ve made an effort in a maxi.

#VeryPartyEdit Midnight Hour

The office party, the festive drinks with friends, the Christmas eve party, the party-just-because-party, NYE. Whatever the occasion, we need to up our party-wear game during the magical season of not-so-silent nights and ‘what happened after midnight?’ mornings. This month’s #VeryPartyEdit is decked with plenty of inspo to keep your style on point when the clock strikes 12 and these all get the seal of approval from fashion expert and X Factor stylist, Gemma Sheppard.

1. Beaded Playsuit from V by Very

Beaded Playsuit V by Very

A safer alternative to the micro-mini LBD, this beaded playsuit from V by Very creates the same chic look as its classic counterpart, but removes the risk of accidentally flashing anyone after the one mulled wine that probably should have remained in the mug. The tailored shape balances the mini length to maintain a classy aesthetic while the nipped-in waist illuminates your figure’s slimmest point, making it a flattering piece that you’ll feel gorgeous in. Then there’s the pièce de résistance – the embellished cape. This is the deet that infuses the Christmassy sparkle into your outfit, with its intricately embellished design and scalloped edging.  “The cape back detail ticks the trend boxes”, says Gemma, “and the embellishments make it extra special”. Yep.

2. Eyelash Lace Midi Dress by Rochelle Humes

Eyelash Lace Midi Dress by Rochelle Humes

“This wine colour is so right for right now”, Gemma says of the eyelash lace midi dress by Rochelle Humes. I love this section of the colour wheel that permeates Christmas edits – emerald greens, deep wine hues and rich purple tones are more festive alternatives to black and they create that same classic, ladylike vibe. Crafted from a luxe lace fabric,  this piece lets you tap into the season’s love for gothic romance, while the sheer scalloped hem lends a conversational twist. The midi design and half-length sleeves provide the perfect amount of coverage to strike that genius chord of winter-ready and just the right amount of sexy.

3. Lace Bardot Pencil Dress from V by Very

Pencil Lace Bardot Dress V by Very

Reminiscent of Alexander McQueen, Rodarte and Alberta Ferrati’s 19th century approach to the AW15 runways with romantic ruffles and moody blacks, this lace Bardot pencil dress from V by Very sets a distinctly gothic mood and it’s my favourite piece from this collection. The pencil shape and midi length work with the Bardot neckline to radiate pure elegance, while the vampish lace insert to the side panel has got dramatic romance written all over it. The drama of this piece can be dialled up further with of-the-moment makeup – think red berry lips, over-the-top cateye flicks and voluminous, mussed-up hair. “Just add accessories”, Gemma advises for this piece. Our stylist runs with the gothic theme by partnering it with the oversized tassel  box clutch and just a touch of colour with the Ellie platform bow sandals by Miss KG.

4. Culotte Jumpsuit by River Island

Culotte Jumpsuit by River Island

Culottes are a staple silhouette for AW15 and with this jumpsuit by River Island, you get the high-end, on-trend appeal of the culotte, with the sultry and feminine charm of the sweetheart bandeau neckline to create an undeniably stylish-meets-sexy look. Soft, sumptuous and a touch Studio 54, this faux fur coat is everything when it comes to layering up for flitting between bars. No one likes being freezing cold on nights out, but sometimes it’s hard to find the right coat to offset your party looks – adding textural contrast to your OOTN and being oversized enough to layer over anything, this is spot-on. And it gets the nod from Gemma; “the tonal perfection of this outfit is amazing”, she says.

I don’t know about you, but that’s left me feeling all Christmassy and excited for the scent of fir trees, a warm mug of mulled wine by the fire and all the luxurious, dramatic dressing-up gear for midnight hour on the night before Christmas. The lace Bardot pencil dress with the faux fur coat layered on top is my outfit of choice, along with a moody berry lipstick to capture all the gothic romance of the season and keep my look catwalk-inspired. What’s your favourite look?

Celebrity Style Steal: Kendall Jenner turns 20

Happy Birthday to Kendall Jenner! It’s hard to believe the most high fashion member of the Kardashian clan is just 20 as she’s achieved so much modelling for top designers and doing fashion weeks around the world. She celebrated her birthday with a big party in LA, where she wore what seems to be her favourite colour – black.

A few days before that she also wore an all black outfit to a basketball game, but I especially like that look as she added some leopard print shoes. Her clutch bag was also a nice touch and it shows that when you wear black your accessories really stand out. Kendall’s simple but stylish outfit could work for day or night if she swaps her bomber jacket for a blazer afterwards, so it’s both practical and on trend. I’d copy it with the Definitions slim leg tux trousers, as the ankle length is super flattering and lengthens legs. The South short padded coat is a nice way of wrapping up warm, which is so important at this time of year. For accessories, her shoes are almost exactly the same as the So Fabulous Madeline point court shoes and the River Island frame pu clutch bag is the final piece of glamour to the look.

Kendall’s also wearing a crop top and flashing a bit of flesh always breaks up an all black look. I like the Supertrash tarab cropped top from Very as it’s an interesting shape and only shows a hint of skin as we can’t all have rock hard abs like Kendall.

What do you think of Kendall Jenner’s style?

Harpers Bazaar Women Of The Year: Winners And Fashion

I love an awards ceremony and there was something truly special about the Harper’s Bazaar Women of The Year awards as it was all about fabulous, strong and successful women. As it was held in London’s five star Claridge’s Hotel, the dress code was ‘glamorous’ and guests all met for a Champagne reception followed by a three course meal. Who said stars don’t know how to let their hair down?

It was great to see so many A’list actresses support each other and it was the perfect timing for this event. Now it’s pre-Christmas party season we can look at what the celebs wore and remember it when we’re dressing for our own parties. Let’s have a look at what everyone wore and then afterwards, I’ll list who won awards.

Sienna Miller

Sienna has attended a lot of red carpet events recently as she’s promoting her movie Burnt, but she still hasn’t run out of ways to dazzle as she shone in a grey maxi dress. I don’t see this colour worn much on the red carpet, but I think we may see it more soon as it’s flattering without being OTT. Understated glamour.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole who is in London starring in the West End in Photograph 51 took a risk with an embellished black maxi dress but she pulled it off as she knows what suits her. I’ve seen her dress like this before and it suits her because she’s tall and she has more length on the dress to play with. If you’re not one for taking risks, I think try it and the worse that can happen is you look in the mirror and decide it’s not for you after all but if you get it right you get tons of compliments as you’ll look so different.

Lara Stone

I do love a jumpsuit and Lara shows why it’s a classic piece that gives off the impression that the wearer is brave and effortlessly cool. Lara looks absolutely fierce in this black jumpsuit.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie looked incredible in a white maxi dress, showing that white really does attract attention – in a good way. Her hair seems less shocking than at the MTV awards too. This is a simple and classic look so she wants to keep her hair and make-up smooth and sleek.

Kate Winslet

Kate played it classic in a monochrome midi bodycon dress. I think this is a good day to night dress, if you had to go from the office to an event. What makes it suitable for night is the killer heels. How sharp are Kate’s black stilletoes?

Lily James

Lace is so on trend this season and Lily showed how lovely and feminine a lace maxi dress can make us look. Lily’s had a great year since Cinderella and has tons of films planned for 2016 so we should be seeing a lot more of her. I’m glad as I love her girly style that is feminine but still seriously fashionable.

And the winners are:

Breakthrough: Lily James

British Icon: Kate Winslet

Television Icon: Michelle Dockery

Musician: Ellie Goulding

Theatre Icon: Nicole Kidman

British Actress: Sienna Miller

Breakthrough Designer: Mary Katzantrou

Model: Lara Stone

Man of The Year: Erdem

Who do you think had the best outfit? Personally, I like Lara Stone’s jumpsuit.

Top 10 Celebrity Outfits At British Fashion Awards 2015

The British Fashion Awards are a cross between The Oscars and The Met Ball Gala in America. The awards are as prestigious as the Oscars and everyone makes a real effort with their outfits as they know the eyes of the fashion world will be watching, so in that sense it’s like the Met Ball.

This year, the British Fashion awards guests included a mix of fashion designers and models as well as a lot of musicians that are heavily connected to the fashion industry like Lady Gaga and Rita Ora. The red carpet was a never ending stream of glamorous full length and fabulous outfits as well as a few trouser suits, providing a lot of inspiration for outfits to make us all stand out and look gorgeous during the Christmas party season. These are my personal favourites:

(1) Lady Gaga

Since recording an album with jazz singe Tony Bennet, Lady Gaga has gone all chic and classy. I loved her chic red maxi dress, which reminded me of the Little Mistress embellished maxi dress, with it’s lace top. Fishnet gloves optional!

(2)  Jourdan Dunn

Jourdan won Best British model and you can see why as she looked so elegant in her black and white maxi dress. The fact that the shape is simple but the monochrome colour is striking is a genius way of attracting attention, without it looking like you’ve tried too hard.

(3) Victoria Beckham

Sometimes a trouser suit is more fierce than the boldest of dresses, plus they’re a lot more comfortable if you plan to party all night. VB’s look reminds me of the V by Very cotton sateen chinos and the South mix and match jacket.

(4) Cheryl Fernandez Versini

Cheryl Fernandez-Versini looked doll look in her girly black maxi dress. I like the colourful embellishment and also the transparent mesh effect. There is a lot of detail in this dress.

(5) Alexa Chung

Alexa also indulged her feminine side in a strapless midi dress. The print was Chinese inspired while the top half was Victorian. Mixing styles and colours always catches the eye.

(6) Rosie Huntington Whiteley

I love  bit of sparkle and Rosie was a perfect example of that in her silver maxi dress, which is like the Little Mistress grey deep v front maxi dress. If you can’t shine at Christmas time, when can you?

(7) Karlie Kloss

Karlie also wore one of my favourite Christmas colours – gold. A gold maxi dress always looks better with a bit of a tan, and it will stand out among all those who are wearing black.

(8) Lily Allen

The fabric of Lily Allen’s dress was so gorgeous, I almost didn’t notice that she’d dyed her hair blue.  The colours and embellisment are very similar to the Little Mistress one shoulder embellished maxi dress at Very,

(9) FKA Twigs

FKA Twigs is never conventional and at first I thought she was wearing a black satin maxi dress, until I looked closer and realised it was also trousers. It’s hard to copy this look, but it shows if you have an individual style in mind and you wear it with attitude, you’ll have everyone wishing they were as cool as you.

(10) Karl Lagerfeld

You just can’t argue with King Karl. The fashionista crowd love him and he always looks smart and stylish, with every hair in place. I just wish he brought his cat Choupette, who has almost as many Instagram followers as Cara Delevingne!
Whose outfit did you like the most?

Celebrity Gossip From Hyde Park Winter Wonderland

Christmas is coming! It seems all the celebs are feeling festive as the VIP opening of the Winter Wonderland attraction in London’s Hyde Park attracted a lot of stars, who were all dressed for the Winter weather.

Just looking at the warm coats, furs and hats made me feel more warm and cosy inside. There’s something nice about putting on something warm and soft to the skin so you feel all wrapped up and it’s an excuse to enjoy some tasty Christmas treats as you have some layers to hide behind. Also, when it’s cold you burn calories to stay warm, right?

I attended the opening evening with a faux fur cape of my own and got some goss from the stars.

Here’s a summary of all the goss I got so you can see what the celebs are up to as well as what they’re wearing.

Tamara Ecclestone

Tamara’s looking forward to spending Christmas in London with her family. Last year, she hired a Santa Claus to bring her daughter Sophia’s presents to their house and she’s going to do the same again and more now that Sophia’s one and old enough to take things in. Lucky girl! I loved the girls’ matching beany hats and Tamara looked ready for all weathers in her green parka.

Donna Air

Donna Air told me she’s been out at different Christmas parties every night this week and it’s only November. I’m surprised she still looked so fresh in her skinny jeans and cute formal jacket! However, she is planning a family holiday around Christmas to get some Winter sun so she’s making the most of the traditional Christmassy weather now.

Lisa Snowdon

Lisa won Aunt brownie points by taking her niece to play on the rides. She wrapped up warm in her black and white coat and watched as her niece went on the cute roundabouts – bless!  Lisa would make a great mum, but she’s getting practise by being an Aunt.

Michelle Heaton

Michelle looked every inch the yummy mummy in her skinny jeans and black trainers. She also brought her children for some festive fun but she’s a busy working lady as she has her own fitness videos coming up as well as some TV presenting work. She always says what she thinks so it will be nice to see more of her on our screens.

Leah Weller

Paul Weller’s daughter Leah bravely went without a coat but she said her secret is that she’s wearing a thermal vest underneath her white jumper. I liked how she matched her hat to her jumper – white is a lovely colour for Winter. We were all lucky it didn’t rain as that outfit would not have worked then. What do you think?

Are you looking forward to dressing more comfortably in Winter?

Very Spring Summer 2016 Fashion Preview

Dreaming of the sunshine? Me too after attending the Very Spring / Summer 2016 press preview event!

Gorgeous soft fabrics, cool fringe detail and ultra pretty prints were key for the new collections, but let’s have a closer look at some of the best bits so you know what to look for and can snap up your favourite outfits before anyone else. It’s all about being first when it comes to fashion – someone asking you where you got something is the ultimate compliment!

Pastels and Suede

This was the first thing that I saw as I entered the room and it cheered me up straight away. It looks like Spring / Summer will be the time to indulge your feminine side with light fabrics, pretty florals and pastel colours to feel all pretty and girly. I particularly liked the maxi with a big split that is the ultimate cover up for a bikini on a spring break.

Summer Party Prints

Bold is back! When the sun is out it should be celebrated and I loved the party outfits that are fresh, floral and bright. The printed trouser suit was styled so well with a clashing print blouse – matchy matchy is so over.

Summer Paisley Prints

There were just so many eye-catching clothes! I loved the embellished box jacket, which would see you through the whole season with jeans or skinny trousers and the maxi dresses are guaranteed to attract attention and would look lovely with tanned summer skin.

Suede Fringe Dress

In every collection, there are some outfits that you like more than anything else and this suede dress was one of them. It’s a really flattering shift dress shape but the fabric and fringe detail make it look so expensive. The pale pink colour will make you appear more tanned than you are, which is always a bonus.

Suede Fringe Jacket

This jacket is in the V by Very collection and I can guarantee I am going to get one as soon as it’s in next year. I’ve seen similar ones on the designer catwalks during London fashion week, styled with simple dresses or even jeans and a white blouse. It’s so versatile and it will be the talking point of any outfit. What do you think?

Summer Sandals

Shoes are always the finishing touch to a look and this season there are some stunning ones. You’ll have happy feet in these gorgeous cut out and lace up styles. I’m liking the pink cut out sandals, which I can match to my nail polish but the blue shoes are pretty fabulous too, aren’t they?

Red Suede Dresses

These dresses caught my eye as the dark red colour was gorgeous and then I saw the material and fell in love. I like the colour block detail on the shirt dress as I haven’t seen a dip dyed dress like this before – it’s very original. As for the fringe dress, imagine dancing in that with the fringe swinging as you move.

Pleated Party Dress

I noticed this dress as it’s so elegant and chic. Again, this is all about getting in touch with your girly side and it would look lovely with nude or black stilletos at a summer wedding or party.

What’s your favourite look from the selection above? Spring will come before we know it so it’s good to be prepared.

Little Mix’s Week Long Album Launch Party

Little Mix are either very proud of their third album Get Weird or they’re looking for an excuse to let their hair down and party as they’ve had a lot of celebrations to toast their new release. I like their style – why have just one party when there’s seven nights of the week?

So far, they’ve had three major nights out this week with the Radio 1 Teen Awards, an official fan meet and greet at Tape London bar and a ski-themed party at Bodo’s Schloss nightclub in London. Each night required a different look but the girls each know what suits them. Jesy usually sticks to black while Jade loves a plunging V-neck. Let’s have a closer look at each event:

Radio 1 Teen Awards

The girls’ week started on Sunday when they were the star names at the Radio 1 TeenAwards. They changed outfits to perform and all put on sequins, but as they walked the red carpet they showed there are a lot of ways to look glam in black. My favourites were Perrie’s black lace dress and Leigh Anne’s high waisted trousers with a crop top but Jesy wears her blazer with attitude doesn’t she? As they’re wearing black, they’ve gone to a lot of effort with their hair and make-up, opting for bright colours so they don’t look washed out. That’s one of the tricks to glamming up black.

Tape London gig

The girls went for some colour at this gig, which was spectacularly lit with neon lights spelling out their names and neon signs of musical instruments and hearts. You almost needed sunglasses to watch! While Perrie may look like she’s dressed down in this photo, she’s wearing leather leggings and I always think leather and knitwear goes so well together. I liked Jade’s red rollneck top as rollnecks are so on trend for this Winter.

After the gig, the girls took photos with all their fans and stopped to sign autographs, showing they appreciated the public who buy the album that will hopefully make number one. Then they went back to their hotel for drinks after the work was done – it had been a long day for them which started at 6am with an apperance on ITV’s Good Morning Britain.

Bodo’s Schloss nightclub party

This ski-themed party was a lot of fun with a chocolate fondue, in which the girls dipped marshmallows and strawberries. There were alpine bell ringers and waitresses wearing Austrian themed  outfits. As the name of their album is called Get Weird, the theme was definitely a tiny bit weird as well as being fun.

But the girls themselves didn’t look weird in their party outfits. Jesy picked another black blazer while Perrie went for a classic black jumpsuit and Leigh-Anne tried a black skirt and black blouse as she’s usually the most feminine of the group. Personally I liked Jade’s white jumpsuit the most as white always stands out when everyone else is in black. What do you think?

What’s your favourite look of the week? These girls won the X Factor in 2011 and they still have the X Factor when it comes to fashion,
