Celebrity Pram Style

With hundreds of prams on the market to choose from, it can be quite confusing deciding which one to buy for your baby. There are many factors you have to think about when buying a pram, but if STYLE and STATUS are top on your priority list then why not choose a pram that you’ve seen your favourite celeb pushing?

The ultimate pram for ‘posh parents’ for over a hundred years has been the Silver Cross. It comes in many styles but each has that ‘traditional’ pram look – great for making a statement. Many celebrities both in the UK and America have been seen with Silver Corss prams – Charlotte Church, Jennifer Lopez, and Helena Bonham Carter to name a few.

The only downside is a Silver Cross pram can set you back over £1000! Great if you’re on a celeb wage but not so hot for us yummy mummies on a budget. Do not worry though – you can get the look and pay less than half the price with this traditional Mamas & Papas Ultima City with Excel Chassis. It has the classic style of a Silver Cross but with the added benefit of changing into a pushchair.

The Mamas and Papas range is always popular – Katie Price, Gwen Steffani and Geri Halliwell are all fans.

If you’re not a fan of the classic frame – don’t worry – not all celebs go for the traditional style. Myleen Class, Charlotte Church and Mel C have all been spotted  out with fab, modern brand, Quinny. With it’s ultra stylish look, it is much better for busy Mum’s that want to get out and about.  It’s very versatile and the Quinny Buzz can be used with a carry cot, buggy or car seat. If you’re after a smaller buggy then check out the Quinny Zapp – it’s  the smallest folding pram on the market.

After buying a big pram for their newborns, many celebrity parents decide to go for something smaller and more practical once their baby starts toddling. A great pushchair for this stage is the Maclaren which is well known with many styles and colours. Celebrities like Nicole Richie, Geri Halliwell, Naomi Watts and Emma Bunton are all loving the Maclaren Quest Sport. One of my favourites is this funky Maclaren Juicy Couture pushchair – super stylish!

Maclaren also do many twin prams like the Techno and the Triumph, as seen carrying the offspring  of Elvis Costello, Jessica Alba and Jennifer Lopez to name but a few!

Don’t worry if your budget doesn’t stretch that far- why not try one of the cheaper, but just as good quality well know makes, like Ladybird, Petite Star, Chicco or O Baby – all great makes at great prices.

So now you know what the celebrities are pushing, you just need to choose which celebrity’s pram style you’d like to copy!

Which pram do you prefer??!!

The range in price from the top prams down is massive so I suggest sticking to your budget and forget what the celebs have got they can afford it. I found my pram system at http://www.pramsystems.co.uk which was well priced

Not sure if I like the Silver Cross style but we’ve had a Quinny – great pram!
