Sugababes Launch New Album and a Brand New Look

The Sugababes have just released their new album Sweet 7, so Very.co.uk suggested I go head to thier album launch to see if a new sound meant a new look.

The answer was a clear yes, which was obvious just by looking at the girls’ uber tight black outfits on stage at West London’s stylish Supper Club.

Check out the photo I took of the girls working it on stage.

Previously, I’ve seen the girls wearing super bright colours, but the black edgy look suits the new line-up of Jade Ewen joining Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah.

Backstage, I asked the ladies to talk me through their looks.

Amelle replied first saying: “We have attitude. I’m loving the shoulder pads this season. I’m also loving anything that is a bit controversial – dress with slashes cut out and transparent blouses.

Jade added: “We’re quite enjoying a tougher look with a bit of leather, skinny jeans and studs. Our stylist tells us to keep it simple – if we wear a dress it will be in black or white, never girly pink.

Heidi added: “But I do think a bit of lace can give you a rocky look, especially if worn with killer heels.”

I found a close-up of the girls during London Fashion Week for a better look at their style and see how their look can be imitated at Very.co.uk.

To copy Amelle and Heidi’s lace look, there are a couple of options.

This dotty lace top on the right is cheeky yet fun and spots (on the clothes) are still a big trend this Spring.

Or, if you fancy something longer and flowing like Heidi, this blouse from Fearne Cotton’s collection is both girly and sexy.

Team with skinny jeans. These pair from Short come in blue for a look  like Amelle or black like Heidi’s and will hug your curves in all the right places.

Or if you fancy something a bit girly (but in monochrome) like new Sugababe Jade Ewen, then why not try a white vest with a knee-length white skirt?

The South skirt comes in a pack of two so you can really work this season’s black and white look:
