Top cameras for your holiday snaps

With the sun finally poking his head around the clouds, it seems summer will soon be here and we have no doubt that you’ll soon be off on holiday, whether it’s a week in Skegness or a break abroad you’ll definitely be needing a camera to capture those special holiday moments.

Taking a look through the bestsellers here at , and at the reviews people have left, it’s not hard to see which are the winners in the camera category, so here are a few of the best rated cameras that would be perfect for your holiday pics.

Samsung ES17 is a handy 12.2 mega pixel camera with 2.5 inch screen that comes with a handy photo help guide and includes Samsungs’ imaging sensors and Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) technology, so your snaps will be nice and clear and blur-free. There’s also a handy Beauty Shot mode which automatically corrects and darks spots or blemishes so the pictures are touched up without you having to do anything to them. Movie recording is also part of the package and this lovely camera comes in black and pink, if you fancy something a bit different.

Another Samsung, The ST500, is also in our bestsellers list and rightly so. This Samsung camera also has 12.2 megapixels but this model also has an innovative dual screen that will let you see when taking group shots or self portraits so you don’t end up missing anyone out of the picture. There’s also a handy Children Mode which plays a little animation to grab a child’s attention while you’re taking the picture and also flashes up a smiley face to signal when they should smile. There’s a 27mm wide angle Schneider Kreuznach lens with 4.6x optical zoom so you’ll have nothing but crisp clear images to remember your holiday by.

The Nikon S220 is an ultra slim camera with 10 megapixels and has a number of innovative technological features to make sure you get the best pictures. Scene Auto Selector will automatically optimise the camera settings no matter what you are shooting and there is also the Smile Mode where the camera will automatically take a picture when your subject smiles. Add to this the Blink Proof mode where the camera will take two pictures and will automatically save the one where your subject’s eyes are open, and you’ll end up with picture perfect quality photos.

There are plenty of other options available to choose from but these three are the top contenders so if you’re in the market for a new camera that you know will give you great pictures of your holiday that you will treasure forever then why not give one of these bestsellers a whirl?
