Green Dream – Runway to Room

Summer is fast approaching, you can tell from the amazing sunshine we’ve been having of late, and with the new season comes a new colour trend – GREEN. Fashion designers usually keep green under wraps until spring summer because let’s face it, if it’s not green outside, why would we want it in our wardrobes? Kenzo, Marc Jacobs and Sonia Rykiel all sent various shades of the colour down their catwalks.

This welcome burst of our favourite earthy hue has got us really excited – not only  can you dress in it, you can decorate your lovely home in it too! Here’s a few little suggestions from the Very team…

Start in the one place we all probably use the most… the bathroom. These ultra soft Egyptian cotton towels (4 piece) will give your bathroom an instant colour lift. Add this lighter green bath mat for a contrast colour or maybe this round 3-piece accessory set for a subtle bit of green.

Moving onto the bedroom, choose this multi-toned duvet cover set and matching curtains to brighten up the space (both currently on sale, so hurry!). Or for a bit of designer, why not go with this Linda Barker duvet set – the contemporary design and lime green colour will keep your room fresh and stylish.

For the living room or lounge, you don’t want to over do it. We suggest you add a little glimpse of green with one or two items. These faux silk cushions will look fab against a darker coloured couch and this two-tiered pendant light fitting is just the thing for added style. Dress the windows with these summery floral print curtains or decorate the walls with this fun and quirky printed canvas to introduce green gently.

Go green in the kitchen with some accessories including this lime green Joseph Joseph slice and store board , this compact herb chopper, a big green pedal bin (with FREE five litre bin) and these fab wine glasses. If you’re looking for some new crockery, this gorgeous floral print set is a must have.

For a few other fun summer ideas, have a look at this green sun lounger, this amazing picnic bag set and as an added bit of loveliness for your garden, this green frog water feature.

So now you can embrace the catwalk AND the sunshine in your home with our favourite colour of the moment.
