Monochrome Madness – Runway to Room

Black and white, noir et blanc – call it what you will, the monochrome trend has been rife on the catwalks season after season for a while now. And we love it! Our very own POP by PPQ used the double colour palette in their spring summer catwalk collection with long tiered dresses and shorter separates, Moschino added some black and white to mini skirts and wrap dresses, and William Tempest sent a gorgeous monochrome off-the-shoulder, cage detail dress down his runway last season. In short, it looks like the two-coloured favourite trend is here to stay – but why limit it to your wardrobe?

Here at very.co.uk we are committed in bringing you the most up to date trends not only for your clothes, but for your home too because let’s face it, that’s were we spend the majority of our time, not locked in our closets. If you’re thinking of having a Spring clean, then why not update some pieces around the house as well as some in your wardrobe.

Start in the living room with this gorgeous McCord sofa set and accessorize it with some embroidered cushions and even some fun faux fur. Brighten up with either this fab African inspired table lamp or a tall floor lamp like the three-ball option.

If you love a good summer dinner party, why not make a statement with this amazing new all-weather cube garden furniture set and use this damask print crockery to really impress your guests!

To give your bedroom a monochromatic lift, choose this Helana duvet cover and matching curtains with a soft, swirly pattern and these smart and contemporary Metropole bedside tables for added bedroom-chic.

Finally, to finish the look, decorate the house with one off pieces such as this fab roman numeral clock, a stand-out sun shaped mirror, these oh-so pretty white metal Marrakesh lanterns or for some extra storage space, go with this set of three black wicker chests – gorgeous!

See, matching a wardrobe trend to your home has never looked so good, has it?
