Top Smoothie Recipes to help you get your Five a Day

When the sun shines we all start thinking about looking and feeling our best for the summer and fruit – loaded with vitamins and antioxidants – are one of the best pick me ups you can get. But if you’re having trouble getting your five a day then try some yummy smoothies that will quench your thirst, leaving you feeling great and make sure you’re getting your fruit intake!

Banana Berry Breakfast

If you have trouble getting a good breakfast in the morning then set yourself up for the day with this thick breakfast smoothie – add all to a blender, and blend until smooth.

  • 300g blackberries
  • 300g blueberries
  • 2 bananas, chopped
  • 450ml Apple Juice
  • Ice cubes

Sunshine Smoothie

An aptly named summer smoothie, full of lovely flavours and is thirst quenching too! Add all to a blender and blend until smooth

  • 1 banana
  • 1 medium mango, chopped
  • 1 peach, stoned and halved
  • 220ml fresh orange juice

Coconut Mango Surprise

This brightly coloured smoothie is a great pick me up and if you’re suffering after a few too many the night before, then this is the one before.

  • 4 tangerines, cut in half
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • 1 passion fruit, halved and scraped out
  • 1 small mango, peeled and chopped

Squeeze out the juice from the tangerines, add the rest of the ingredients and blend until smooth.
