World Cup Fashion Face-Off: Cameroon vs. France

If you’re in need of a little distraction from the World Cup then get involved in our World Cup Fashion Face-Off which sees the World Cup countries pitted against each other in the fashion stakes, with some strong statement looks representing each nation’s style!

We’re on round 6 at the moment which sees a tribal inspired Cameroon go up against the Parisian Chic style of France – two very different but equally great looks!

Cameroon’s look is dominated by ethnic inspired details with plenty of bright colours, patterns and beading. There’s a little bit of hippie chic going on here with some slightly psychedelic prints but this is mixed in with some key summer pieces including a gorgeous pink maxi dress and one shouldered tribal print dress. Accessories complete the look with plenty of bold beads and animal print.

But do Cameroon have what it takes to beat the fashion giant that is France? After all everyone knows that Paris is one of the fashion hotspots of the world so you’d expect big things from their look, right? Well you won’t be disappointed.

The Parisian chic style of the French look is all classy stripes and bows, with some Coco Chanel inspired tailored touches too. The Parisian look has been a massive trend this summer so this look might well look quite familiar.

The obligatory striped are mixed in with Paris-inspired prints and oversized bows. The military textured jacket adds a timeless elegance and definitely has a Chanel feel to it. The charcoal tailored shorts would add a grown up feel to any summer outfit. Accessory-wise there’s a bit of a mix with a chunky charm necklace, a feather headband and a quilted handbag.

Remember to vote for your favourite look to get it through to the next round! There are only a few more rounds to go before the quarter finals where you can see the likes of England, South Africa and Japan battle it out to be crowned the most stylish country in the World Cup!
