Darius Campbell is one of those personalities you either love or hate.
The nation was not impressed when Darius, then known as Darius Danesh, burst onto the scene in Popstars in 2001.
But when he came back for a second chance on Pop Idol in 2002, the British public voted him through to the finals.
After that his single Colourblind went straight into the charts at number one and his debut album went platinum.
Most recently the Scottish singer, who has changed his name to his mother’s maiden name of Campbell, won the TV series Popstar to Operastar, showing that there will always be a soft spot for the smooth chart-topper in the hearts and minds of British TV audiences.
Very caught up with the popular crooner, who is dating actress Natasha Henstridge, at the Grand Prix Ball in London’s exclusive Hurlingham Club.
With classic F1 cars parked on the lawn’s outside Very grabbed Darius to chat about what he is up to next.
And as Darius has almost 10 years experience in showbiz and has worked with some of the most glamorous females on the planet, we asked him what he admired when it came to women’s fashion.
But he’s as cheesey /charming as ever – notice how he introduces himself by saying ‘Hello Darius’
Darius is a huge fan of 1940s style, which is coming back into fashion in a big way. Check out Holly Willoughby’s tie waist tea dress – how gorgeous is that?
For a more evening look, this 1940s style Vila satin petal effect skirt is stunning
Or recreate the pre-War look with a layered flapper dress
Darius has done well – he’s got surprisingly good taste when it comes to fashion.
