The future is looking rosy for former kids TV presenter Konnie Huq who has made the transition from after-school teatime favourite Blue Peter to prime-time The Xtra Factor.
So she decided to literally wear those roses on her dress as she attended a party to mark 100 years of cult skincare brand Elizabeth Arden’s Eight Hour Cream.
We caught up with Konnie at the star-studded bash at London’s Home House, where she said she’s working longer hours than ever before.
‘It’s really harder than I expected,’ she revealed. ‘I’m used to hard work and lots of travelling since Blue Peter but this is more people based. And I am taking over from Holly Willoughby who the nation loves.
‘Saying that, I am over the moon I got the job. I wasn’t expecting it. And I’m going to do my best to make it fun for everyone watching at home.”
As well as the extra work load, the bubbly presenter is planning a wedding to TV funnyman Charlie Brooker.
They met when she appeared on his Screenwipe show on BBC 4 last year.
‘We’re really happy, although we don’t get to spend that much time together at the moment,’ the energetic TV star added. “But he’s definitely a keeper and I am very happy.
“I want to have at least three babies.”
How exciting! Maybe that’s another reason why Konnie is wearing this white dress to make the most of her pre-pregnancy figure.
White is a brilliant colour for summer and florals are on trend this summer.
Or for something edgier, but still girly and feminine try a Pixie Loves Lipsy border print dress
For special occasions, a People’s Market strappy flower dress will really get you noticed.
