It seems flying solo suits Keisha Buchanan as we’ve never seen her looking better than she did at a Mark Ronson gig in London.
She’s slimmed down and although she’s proud of her new figure, the pop star went for a layered look to suggest what’s underneath rather than a tight figure hugging number. How mature!
The ex-Sugababe revealed she is romantically single as well as being professionally single after leaving the girl band in 2009.
But as she attended the My Live Story gala night at the famous Abbey Road studios to watch Mark Ronson and The Business International, she definitely turned heads.
So what has she been up to in the past year? We can excusively reveal all below:
QS: Talk us through what you’ve done in the past 12 months?
Keisha: “I can’t believe it’s been a year. I’ve been writing, recording, producing. And I’ve had some time off. I’d worked every day since I was 13, so it was nice to take things a bit slower.”
QS: How has your sense of style changed since leaving the Sugababes?
Keisha: “I’m just me. But I lost two stone so I enjoy shopping for dresses more.”
QS: Do you have more time for fashion now you’re not in the Sugababes?
Keisha: “No. I’m always in the studio making my album.”
QS: So tell us, what can we expect from your album?
Keisha: “It’s raw, it’s fresh. I think a lot of people would be quite shocked. It’s not the typical direction people might expect from me.”
QS: What are your favourite shops?
Keisha: “I like D&G but I get inspiration everywhere.”
Keisha talks about being raw and fresh and she dresses to reflect that with her outfit from top to bottom. Her hat is so much cooler than a bobble hat and you can find a similar one at Very with the buckle detail fedora.
Even her scarf is edgy. A very similar alternative is Very’s metallic sequin print tassel scarf
