Saturday saw the Judges arriving wearing red ribbons for Worlds AIDS DAY and they all seemed remarkably calm considering the tenseness of recent shows.  We loved Cheryl’s red lipstick and both girls casual up-dos crated major hair envy from me!

The theme of the first song choice was Club classics so what did the five final acts have to offer us?

Rebecca was first up with Show Me Love by Steve Angeloe.  Wearing a 60’s style futuristic dress over black Opaque’s and heels she delivered yet again with both her beauty and her vocal performance.

Mary arrived next wearing a sequin butterfly top and black palazzo pants.  Her rendition of Never can say goodbye by Gloria Gaynor got great applause but Simon and Louis had a classic spat over the song choice and reminded me of the Chuckle Brothers for a brief moment!

Matt sang You’ve Got The Love by Florence And The Machine and considering his recent spell of tonsillitis his voice showed hardly any damage – even managing to reach those high notes that he has became famous for. Way to go Matt!!

Cher was up next with Love the Way You Lie by Eminem. Looking so tiny on stage bless her, in a black two piece trouser suit and trainers.  Love her curls?  Why not try these clip-in Hair Extensions by Salon Confidential to recreate the look.

One Direction finished of the first set with Only Girl In the World by Rihanna and the audience loved it!

Matt was up next for the second set of Get me to the final.

Singing She’s Always A Woman by Fyfe DangerField he finished on a high note but it was noticeable that poor Matt was still ill and we can only hope that he is back on form next week.

Mary sang the Barbra Streisand classic- The way you were and had tears in her eyes as she revealed it was her mother’s favourite song.

Cher performed – Nothin’ On You by  B.O.B. I can’t say I was keen on the boots she was wearing or the beginning of the song but she finished off well in the end.

Rebecca gave an absolutely stunning performance of Amazing Grace -her velvet voice is what this shows all about! The judges give high praise and no wonder -not only does she sing like an angel she looks like one too.

One direction finished off the night with Chasing Cars – Snow Patrol  -what a performance!

They all gave it their best shot and I for one cant knock any of them for that.

Dannii and Cher arrived both sporting Very mini length black dresses-is the competition between them heating up or have they merely joined forces at last?

Alexandra Burke opened the show looking like an angelic vision in flowing white and with the voice to match. I wasn’t so sure about the people suspended from the ceiling though.

She was swiftly followed on by the cast of Glee and then the Black Eyed Peas put on an energetic performance-What a night!

After all that fun I nearly forgot why I was watching and then realisation set in –it was time for the results.

One direction were first through, followed by Rebecca & Matt. Mary and Cher were then up for the nail biting sing off.

Mary sang the James Brown classic This is a Man’s World and it sent chills down my spine. Worthy of a James Bond movie. What a brilliant choice from Mary.

Cher then entered the stage with tears in her eyes but pulled off a haunting performance of Everytime.

Finally it was the moment we were waiting for and Cher is through on three of the judge’s votes.

It was goodbye to Mary but I’m sure that’s not the last we will hear of her.

So sadly that’s it till next week’s final and I for one can’t wait to watch it!

Which of the final four will you be voting for next week-Let me know below.
