X Factor Style – The Boys

The two remaining male acts in the semi-final are Matt Cardle and group One Direction.

Matt Cardle. Soulful voice, good looks, laid back style and tipped by Louis as the favourite to win the X Factor saying ‘He has something special’. Matt has given his all to his performance week after week, leaving the studio audience on their feet, screaming for more. Matt’s days of ‘sticky floored bars’ are well and truly behind him, its just the cap that remains…

On stage his style is evolving. Gone are his daytime staples – checked shirt and baggy jeans (and the cap) – replaced with fitted shirts and sharp suits (until this week when they saw fit to put him on stage in a vest). All of which he manages to wear with a certain nonchalance. His first performance of When Love Takes Over by David Guetta was from beneath the comfort of his trademark cap, but since then the cap has been banished.

One Direction, formed by the judges in boot camp have gone from strength to strength throughout the competition. Since the early shows they have had hoards of adoring, screaming fans on their feet after each performance.

As a group of lads brought together only weeks ago they already look like a band, with much of their song choices and styling being attributed to them.
