Video Interview: The Noisettes And Fashion

The Noisettes singer Shingai Shoniwa famously sang Go Baby Go and she’s certainly living that way right now as her band is releasing it’s third album.

The Zimbabwe born signer and her bandmate Dan Smith (photographed above) have a relentless schedule as they’re putting the final touches to their next track that they are releasing in the charts.

Their last albums were just for download from the iTunes store so the pressure is on! No wonder Shingai is in such great shape at the moment.

Shingai exclusively revealed to Very that they are signed up to do every major festival in the UK this summer for promotional activity, meaning that we’ll be seeing at her Glastonbury, Reading and V as well as more boutique festivals like Secret Garden Party and Oxygen.

So what exactly can we expect from the album?

Shingai revealed that the band started writing it mid-December and it had an African, tribal music influence that was inspired by Shingai’s visit to Dakar in Senegal, West Africa over Christmas and New Year.

So that’s the music sorted but what about the outfits?

The stunning singer exclusively gave Very two tips when we caught up with her after a performance at The Southbank show awards in London. Click here to watch a video of Shingai explaining  her fashion inspiration for Spring and how she stays in shape.

Statement jewellery can really make an outfit and is a practical way of looking like you’ve made an effort without splashing out on new clothing. However, it does look better when worn with a dress that really fits you.

The active pop star said she went to Senegal’s capital Dakar to get her sexy shape and achieved a peachy derriere thanks to lots of dancing, but a simple way to improve your figure is to wear a dress that pulls you in and pushes you up in the right places.

Also flattering is the Oasis spotted textured shift dress – now £30 instead of £60!

If you’re confident already then flaunt your figure with a Drama Queens lace bodycon dress

Now you can add the jewellery like Shingai with an Art deco necklace from Very
