Pussycat Dolls singer and F1 WAG Nicole Sherzinger is back in the UK for the first time this year and wearing outfits guaranteed to get her noticed.
This is because Nicole, the girlfriend of Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, is currently promoting her new single Don’t Hold Your Breath, which is the second song released from her solo album Killer Love.
The first track Poison went to number three in the UK singles charts, when Very interviewed her at the Jingle Bell Ball at London’s o2 arena.
This time round she’s doing lots of promotional appearances in London to try and get a number one and Very caught up with her for more fashion and career talk.
QS: Do you have any tips for ladies wanting to look as glamorous as you?
NICOLE: “I’d say the secret to looking stylish is you’ve got to know the parts of your body that you love and embrace.”
QS: What parts of your own body do you love?
NICOLE: “When I can, I like to wear more open shouldered things. I like my shoulders.”
QS: What do you think will be in fashion this spring/summer?
NICOLE: “I like boho chic looks. Comfortable but still chic.”
QS: Do you look to any other celebrities for fashion inspiration?
“I think Halle Berry is just gorgeous. I’ve kind of met her in passing. Angelina Jolie is incredible too… There are just so many amazing women out there.”
QS: What’s next for you in your solo career?
NICOLE: “I always wanted to collaborate with Prince. I recently covered “Jai Ho.” I think his work is amazing and very infectious and global, because everywhere I go, when that song comes on, that’s the loudest song that gets the crowd going. And I think Lady GaGa would be really fun to collaborate with too.”
The part-Hawaiian, part-Fillipino singer showed she has just as much stage presence as Gaga as she held court at the radio 1 studios during her trip to London, signing autographs and taking ages to pose for photos.
The waistcoat is a boho chic look just like she’s recommending for spring / summer and you can find a similar one at Very like the stunning South longline waistcoat
The shape of the South asymmetric drape dress also looks laid back and effortless cool and the cream colour’s fabulous
Or the Love Label pocket dress is a similar colour to Nicole’s dress and is stylish without looking too fussy
What really makes the look is the over-the-knee boots. Get a similar pair at Very with the Love Label Roma over the knee boots
And you could finish the look with a boho inspired necklace like French Connection leather strand necklace
If number ones were awarded for fashion sense then Nicole would have a platinum selling disc in the bag. Good luck to her!
