Sally has been an interior stylist for 12 years and has worked with some of today’s most well known brands, from high street to luxury and boutique designers.  She has also been the Style Editor for ‘Real Homes’ and ‘Kitchens, Bedrooms & Bathrooms’ magazine and her TV debut kicked off with ITV’s ’60 Minute Makeover’, where she was employed as a stylist for the show.  Since then she has worked on various other shows such as ‘This Morning’ and ‘Daybreak’, so she has LOTS of styling solutions experience and can create or revive a look whatever the budget.

We wanted to get to know Sally a bit more so we asked her a few questions and she told us about how she wanted to be a princess when she was a little girl, how she would like to be a wedding planner if she wasn’t doing this job and her love of Beyonce! We all want Sally to give our homes a ’60 minute makeover’.

Sally, when are you at your happiest?

When I’m in a nice comfortable bed with proper goose down pillows and high-thread count Egyptian cotton bedlinen.  A glass of champagne wouldn’t go a miss!

When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

A princess, well I live in hope!

When was the last time you cried?

With laughter when I watched the film ‘Bridesmaids’ last week.

What is your worst habit?

Sucking my thumb, shhhhhhhhh!

What can’t you leave home without?

Right, are you ready for this?  My iphone & charger, keys, wallet, diary, photos of my wedding day that appeared in Bride’s magazine (I know!!!), business cards, oyster card, notepad, pen, make-up bag, nurofen, mirror, safety pins, plaster, antiseptic wipes, antihistamines, Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream, sewing kit, chewing gum, tissues, hairband, perfume, sweeteners, hand cream, tape measure & tweezers.  What can I say?  I was a Girl Guide!

What would you be doing if you wasn’t doing this job?

A wedding planner for sure.  I HEART weddings!

What is the highlight of your career so far?

Answering all your lovely questions for Very of course!

Do you have any top tips to get a job like yours?

Work hard and aim high.  Be prepared to assist other stylists in the first instance and never give up.

Do you have a secret celebrity crush?

I have a girl-crush on Beyonce, did you SEE her at Glastonbury?!

What’s your most humiliating experience?

Too many to mention, but forgetting people’s names is up at the top of the list.

Which item in your wardrobe would shock the fashion police?

Hmmmmmmm, probably my old gardening clogs.  SAY. NO. MORE.

What’s the first single you ever bought?

‘Cherish the Love’ by Cool and the Gang.  Ah, what a tune………..

We think Sally is lovely…… if you want some fab advice on how to get your home looking good, get liking us on facebook and send your dilemma today!!!! x
