Trend Alert: Clashing Texture

As the temperature plummets its time to reach for the warmer richer fabrics that will keep you going during the morning commute. Thanks to designers such as Balenciaga and Emporio Armani we see a merge of clashing textures. If you normally shy away from textures like velvet, fur and leather then now is the time to invest and throw them on for the chilly weather because mixing textures has never been so on trend!

Mix your winter woolies with some leather trousers/leggings (they’re not only for your parties), explore the fabulous and super glam faux fur offerings and indulge in some crushed velvet seperates for maximum style. If your feeling brave wear them at the same time. Pair some leather trousers with a tweed jacket, throw over a fur gilet and carry a velvet bag for a look to rival the catwalks. The girls at VERY HQ have all been spotted sporting a bit of fur and leather, and myself included have invested in a vast amount of velvet dresses, leather leggings and fur coats.

My Favourite Picks

South Glam Coloured Faux Fur Coat – This jacket is so similar to Gucci’s no one will notice the high street price tag! I love this colour as its easy to wear and will suit all colours and shades.

Diesel Wool Mix Coat With Leather Sleeves – This coat is sleek, stylish and the leather sleeves are so on trend right now. The mixture of texture keep this classic looking coat current and cool.

Love Label Velvet Spot Kimono – A sleek velvet kimono perfect for throwing over anything for instant on trend fab.

Love Label Luxe Cut Work Leather Dress This dress looks super expensive and the cutwork detail on the arms give this simple dressy a cute edgy twist, perfect for any occasion.
