Today I will be showing you how to achieve a natural yet flawless and even face makeup. The secret to great face makeup is to let your natural skin shine through, don’t mask it. I started with a clean face which had been cleansed, toned and moisturised. I always wait 5 -10 minutes after moisturising, this way it will have soaked into your skin making it soft and foundation-ready.
For this tutorial I started with a primer. Primers are an essential step if you want to ensure long lasting makeup. Also perfect for those who have fine lines or uneven skin texture as this primer smoothes out your skin and fills in any fine lines. I then used a sheer-medium coverage foundation to even out my skin tone and cover any imperfections.
Concealer was my next step, I used it to cover my under eye dark circles and brighten up the eye area. These steps where then sealed with a translucent blotting powder, perfect for oily t-zones. Translucent powder is a perfect choice as it’s translucent meaning it is colourless, suiting any skin tones. For me, powder is a must if you want your foundation to last longer, a light sweep of powder is all you need to LOCK your hard work.
