It’s all about the clashing, mental mash up of wearing wildly different prints on your bod this season. So get ready to mix your animal with aztec, your tribal with tropical and spots with your stripes. Pick out highlight colours from one print and match these to the colours of another print in the same shades and you won’t go wrong.
Like the Miss Sixty T-shirt and Love Label Aztec mini, which is sooo a good look for apple shapes and straight up and down bodies, worn with a cracking pair of legs. If your legs aren’t so long then elongate them with some platform sandals in a complementary colour.
A small print like a ditsy floral worn with a much larger scale print or a stripe is another way to channel this trend. It’s also the best way to do clashing if you’re pear shaped – wear smaller, darker prints in skirts, shorts and trousers and big impact, eye-catching prints in tops and jackets. Just reverse these patterns if you’re bigger up top.
The Print Clash trend can be toned down by mixing graphic or animal prints with bold patterns, like wearing a spot vest with tropical printed shorts. You can even see this trend in action – check out the next Very makeover on 1st March with my Print Clash style up. If you don’t like all eyes on you then play it safe and wear those clashing prints on your shoes and jewellery and stick to bright, block colours in your clothing.
Anyhoo, it’s all about having fun with this trend – be confident, walk tall and you’ll pull it off, no probs.
