It’s always nice when there are positive, inspiring stories about celebrities rather than doom and gloom and The Prince’s Trust Celebrate Success Awards in London’s Leicester Square was the sort of event where you were left smiling for the whole day afterwards. In particular, Gok Wan put a grin on our faces as he stopped to record a video for us – what a lovely guy!
Gok says that you can enjoy fashion whatever your size and shape – you’ll look good as long as you accessorise with a nice smile. Aim for clean lines and a structured shape but most importantly stop being hard on yourself, look in the mirror and make a list of everything you love about yourself and find fashion to enhance that. Easy!
And other famous faces we spotted apart from patron of the charity, HRH Prince Charles, were Spice Girl Emma Bunton, Brit Award winner Emeli Sande, comedian Justin Lee Collins, actor Tom Hardy and Geordie double act Ant and Dec. There were seven award winners who were all young people who had set up successful companies and businesses with the help of money from the Trust and made a difference with their lives. The overall motto is upbeat and positive – no matter what your life is like now, you have the power to make it better. How cool is that?
