Florence Welch Promotes New Album In Style

Florence Welch is one of the rare few British singers to have made it in the States with the Americans going crazy for her unique vocals and individual sense of style. She won a Grammy award for Best Newcomer in 2011 and is currently promoting her third album, which she recently released on 9 April.  Following on the back of Lungs and the amazing Ceremonials (which won two NME Awards this year), the South London singer’s latest offering is called Florence and The Machine: MTV Unplugged and features a collection of her live performances. It’s fabulous!

When it comes to promoting the music, Flo switches from manic performer to professional artist mode and works the red carpet at award ceremonies like a pro. In honour of the new album, we thought it about  time to look at some of her outfits at recent gigs. If you want to make everyone look at you (for the right reasons), while still appear girly and elegant then you’d do well to take notice of Florence. These are our top three:

For a Teenage Cancer Trust charity gig the week before her album was released, Florence knew she has to make a memorable appearance. And what can be more attention-grabbing than a gold dress? It’s one way of showing she has the Midas Touch.

Florence picked up awards for Best Solo Artist and Best Track at the 2012 NMe Awards and if there was an honour for Best Dress then we think Ms Welch could scoop that too. She wore a black dress with lace inserts. Find a similar one at Very with the Drama Queen Lace Detail Bodycon Dress.

The star has been a regular at the BRITs since she won the Critics Choice Awards in 2009 so she can afford to really dress up and make the most of the night. Here, Flo proves that there’s nothing quite like a maxi dress to create maximum impact!

Florence and The Machine are now off to the Coachella music festival in California to continue their assault on the States. Shake It Out for us, girl, and we hope to report on some more UK gigs soon.
