It is possible to stay warm and dry while looking fabulous at a festival – just look at Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts. The girlband member turned solo singer looked really at ease in the outfit she wore to the Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park, which meant she hung around all day getting stuck in. I even spotted her in the front row of the Rihanna gig at the end of the night! Good taste in music as well as clothes, eh?
Nicola proves that one of the keys to festival fashion is layering. A lightweight jacket like the Love Label bomber jacket can easily be taken off and shoved in a bag if the sun came out. With a bodycon skirt there is no danger of it getting blown up by a sudden gust of wind, which is important to think about this given the summer (or lack of) we’re currently having.
If you look at Nicola’s outfit closely then it gets even better. Her top’s made out of a mesh material, just like the top half of the lovely Holly Willoughby mesh top bodycon dress. Add a bomber jacket to this dress and it’s ideal for gigs but add a suit jacket and you can wear it to the office. How cool is that? The final touches are the shoes – flats are vital at festivals. The great thing about the Clarks Onslow beat ankle strap platforms are they’re flat but they’re an inch off the floor, making legs look longer without compromising on comfort. Top off your talons with some fiery red by using the Myleene Klass Nails Original Duo nail wraps and you’re ready to battle the elements outside in a field and stay beautiful.
Very also stock Dainty Doll, Nicola Roberts own brand makeup which she has designed for fair skinned beauties. We think she’s gorgeous x
Hopefully it won’t be long until we see Nicola back on stage with Girls Aloud, rather than just watching the gigs. Watch this space!
