It may have been a wet night in London for The Pride of Britain awards but the atmosphere was electric. Inside the stars heard tales of remarkable bravery by real people and outside they walked down the red carpet in their finest outfits to ensure there was a lot of publicity about the event. Celebs know if they want something to get noticed then they need to dress up and promote it.
One of the dresses that got the most wolf-whistles from fans outside and the most attention from the photographers was one worn by Holly Willoughby. The stunning floor length maxi dress hugged her curves in all the right places and the back cleavage was sensational.
The good news is we can all get Holly’s exact dress at Very. She was wearing a dress from her own collection – the Holly Willoughby backless velvet maxi dress
If you want to add some more red carpet glitz then follow in Holly’s footsteps quite literally by adding some sparkly shoes. The Dune Babington Court shoes are pretty spectacular
Black was the colour of the night when it came to red carpet dresses and Spice Girl Mel C showed us how to dress up a knee length black dress as she walked in with bandmate Emma Bunton. The Spice Girls musical Viva Forever is out next month – I can’t wait!
You could do something similar to Mel C with the South beaded tunic dress, which has a gorgeous, attention grabbing neckline to make it a little bit more special than a standard black dress.
Add some chic Love Label Caplan pointed metallic court shoes for the finishing wow factor
Whether you prefer short dresses or maxi dresses, why not take a leaf out of the stars’ books and try something in black for your next event? Trust me, you’ll end up feeling pride in the way you look.
