Bond Skyfall is the film most of us have been waiting all year for and it’s finally here! And you wouldn’t expect one of the most eagerly awaited films to have a quiet premiere, would you? Instead of being held in London’s Leicester Square, Daniel Craig led the cast onto the red carpet at the iconic Royal Albert Hall and it was a never ending stream of glamour. Here’s a look at some of the highlights and some exclusive gossip about what really went on on the red carpet.
Dressed to kill in his sharp suit, Daniel showed why he was picked to play Bond three movies ago. He was fighting a severe cold as his promotional schedule for the film has been non-stop but he did a great job of acting healthy, even if he had to stop to sneeze occasionally. At one point David Walliams interviewed him and asked him to describe his character. Daniel joked: ‘I play Octopussy’. Strong, handsome and has a sense of humour, he’s such a great Bond!
Berenice told journalists it was her mission to transform the traditional Bond girl into a Bond woman and she certainly did that! She wore a stunning red maxi dress for the red carpet and then changed into an equally breathtaking black dress for the after-party. With mesh inserts and lace panels, she looked fantastic. Bond may be over for another year or so but we’re about to see a lot more of Berenice.
If you’re in the film and it’s your night then you’re allowed to take centre stage and Bond girl Naomie Harris did just that in her see-through maxi dress with sequin bodysuit underneath. It’s not a traditional red carpet dress but Naomie is not your average Bond girl so the outfit works for her. Naomie said the highlight of the premiere for her was meeting the royal family. That’s sweet!
They say dress for the job you want rather than one you have and Kelly Brook looked every inch a Bond Girl in her gold maxi dress. Is she pitching for a part in the film? After her role in Keith Lemon: The Movie, Kelly’s actively pursuing more film roles. Watch this space!
The Olympic cyclist took a break from her Strictly Come Dancing practise to mingle with the movie stars and seemed to blend in effortlessly with the rest of the stars on the red carpet. She’s gorgeous! Victoria said she was so focused on Strictly, she hadn’t worked out what she wanted to do yet although she’s had a few offers. I’m not surprised – is there anything she can’t do?
Bond Skyfall is in cinemas nationwide on 26 October. With the premiere over, it’s time to enjoy the film and escape reality for two hours of guns, gadgets and Daniel Craig!
