London Lifestyle Awards: Zoe Griffin Nominated for London Personality of the Year 2012

What a brilliant month October has been! Very Blog Editor Danielle collected an award for Best Brand Blog at the Cosmopolitan Magazine Blog Awards and I was shortlisted for London Personality of The Year at the London Lifestyle Awards. The awards honour businesses and people that contribute to life in the capital and although I didn’t win I was so proud to be recognised for my contribution to the entertainment scene and to have an excuse to get dressed up. I love a bit of sequins!

Gary Barlow, Boris Johnson, Danny Baker and Danny Boyle were also in my category with Boris the overall winner, which is truly deserved. I mean, he made the Olympics by getting stuck on a zip wire and dancing like a demon at the Olympics opening and closing ceremonies. However, talking of dancing, I twirled around the dancefloor after the awards in my maxi dress with former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton who went for a gorgeous bodycon party dress. We had totally different outfits but we bonded on the dancefloor at the gorgeous Hurlingham Club in West London.

I expected to see the boys from Blue dancing but they told me they’re too old for that. What a bad excuse! Simon also told me he’d hurt his leg from football, which is a more plausible excuse. Both had gorgeous girlfriends with them to look after them and prevent any other girls from getting too close!

Remember the comedian Les Dawson? I met his daughter Charlotte (below) who shares her dad’s sense of humour. She’s getting established as a TV presenter and I predict you will be seeing a lot more of her in the next few months.

I’m so honoured just to be mentioned in the same sentence as Gary Barlow it didn’t matter to me who won in my category, But if you’re planning a trip to London soon it’s useful to know who won what so you can make the most of your visit.  The London Lifestyle Awards are the definitive measure of what’s hot right now in the capital city. The winners are:

Love Zoex
