This Week In Fashion: Festive Style

This Week In Fashion we are looking at Festive Style.   Whether its Christmas Day Lunch, Festive Drinks or a Winter Walk, with Christmas just around the corner let us show you how to work those festive looks so all you have to worry about is the turkey!

The first look of the day saw us master the art of keeping warm yet staying stylish.   Taking inspiration from the western trend we layered up the look mixing textures and fabrics.  Starting with this South V-neck T-shirt and berry South PU Skinny Ankle Grazer Skinny Jeans to form the basis of the look.  We then added the South Check Hooded Flannel Shirt and layered up with the Hilfiger Denim Florence Knitted Cardigan and the Firetrap Jude Knitted Cardigan to really achieve the layered look.  To finish we paired with the Diesel Chelsea Show Treated Suede Boots and chunky socks and added a fringed scarf for more western style.

The berry leather look trousers are a great modern alternative to jeans and the colour is very on trend for the season. Layering can often be a tricky look to pull of but don’t be afraid, remember if you are layering your top half, keep the bottom half simple to avoid looking bulky.

Want to go for Christmas drinks but don’t want to be too overdressed…fear not this look is for you!!  The main thing is to keep your outfit simple and luxurious.

Velvet is big news this season and always a great fabric to wear around the festive season. We paired this black velvet dress with the Savoir Velvet Blazer.

The lace detail on the top of the dress is a great design detail.  To keep it low-key pair with tights and the Teatro Connelly Jewel Platform Shoes for a bit of festive sparkle.

The third and final look (my favourite) was all about working that Christmas jumper!! Slogan jumpers were all over the catwalk this season so what better time to wear it. Those unwanted Christmas jumpers need not be a problem any longer!!

This South Robin Jumper is a great festive buy.  We paired it with the Fearne Cotton Swing Spot Print Dress.  The loose shape of the dress is perfect for covering up and staying comfortable from Christmas day over indulgence.

Pair with a cool ankle boot like the Miss KG Florrie Glitter Heel Ankle Boots and a cosy sock and that is your Christmas dinner outfit sorted!

Don’t worry about what to wear this Christmas, we have it covered.  Layer up to stay warm and stylish, wear a simple dress in a luxurious fabric for understated glamour and pair your Christmas jumper with a loose dress to eat all the chocolates you want!!  Happy Christmas!!

Love Jess x
