There was a lot of pressure on actress Rebecca Hall yesterday as she had to deal with all the paparazzi flashbulbs at the Iron Man 3 premiere without Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth had been at all the other premieres but there was an issue with the date of this one. It had been due to take place on Wednesday but was rescheduled due to Margaret Thatcher’s funeral so Gwyneth’s excuse was she was needed for promotional duties in Paris. Our loss is France’s gain but at least we had Rebecca, who looked stunning from every angle in a black jumpsuit. Oh and check out how she matched her red lipstick to the colour of the red carpet – a nice touch!
I asked Rebecca how she felt making the movie and she said: ‘At the start I was freaked out, but then I really got into it. It’s the first big budget studio movie I’ve done and there was a lot of activity on set but I forgot about that and focused on my character and that helped me lots. Shooting my first scene with Robert Downey Jr was really scary, but when you’re actually doing something it’s a lot less scary than just thinking about it.’ That’s a motto for life in general, isn’t it? Do what you’re scared of and it will become less frightening!
It wasn’t just Rebecca who glammed up in black for the occasion. Pussycat Dolls Carmit and Kimberley looked lovely in their little black dresses. There have been rumours the Pussycat Dolls weren’t on speaking terms since the band went their separate ways but that’s clearly not true. They look happy to be in each other’s company again. I hope this means a reunion is likely but we’ll have to see what Nicole Scherzinger says…
Another showbiz couple who caught my eye was JLS singer JB Gill and his girlfriend Chloe. With JB’s JLS bandmate Marvin Humes married and expecting, surely this cute couple are next to walk down the aisle? Watch this space! One thing’s for sure – JB would have a unique suit. The blue suit he wore to the premiere was pretty show-stopping! And Chloe also looked great in a black dress and super high heels.
Iron Man 3 opens in cinemas on 26 April. Will you be going? I recommend it.
